Only In America ...
That roller has been photoshopped, but that RUF, errghhhhh I just cant believe you could do something so stupid to such a brilliant car.

What int. color was the most rare
Camo yes I did read what you posted on another site a long time ago - when I say red is less common than tan I was referring to ALL S30 Z cars. Black looks best anyway :tapemouth

You like the new look?
750$ ?! wizz off to that ! Next year if I get some time I'll make one... until then, XP I'll stick to

What int. color was the most rare
I've seen a fair few tan interiors but never red. I think tan is the next most common after black.

That's soooo nice - looks like a Z which, when it's done, will be absolutely fantastic Keep at it!

Only In America ...
Yeah the Porsche looks like maybe a 935/937 bodykit - it doesn't quite look real to me. Same as the Renault rally car further down the page...

You like the new look?
I'd like it if it wasn't such a blatant ripoff...

Calling all Aussie ZED owners !
Hi Cuong recently bought an old November 1973 magazine (Motor Manual) talking about this certain Zed in it - a red 240Z with a Victorian number plate of [LMJ 974]. Just thought one of you might have some info about this car or where to find it's owner? He/She might want to find this magazine for themselves! Hell, if a magazine had my car in it I'd be all over it!! hehe Thanks for your attention, --Alfadog

Yeah I dont think I've seen any 2 seater S130s or Z31s ... oddness, I quite like the idea of a 2 seater Z31 Turbo ...

Lookin for Z in CA
Welcome Gino! As far as Z's in your area - sorry I cant help. But I can't stress to you enough that dont leave this site. It's rich with information and the guys here will be able to help you with whatever problem you may have in the future. 170k on a 240Z I think is fine as these engines were built like tanks. However, it may well have done 270k if it's not documented. You see the odometer only has 5 digits, so as soon as it gets up to 99,999 it'll reset. Mine has only done 15k !!! hehe

here is some GREAT information
I guess not many people are as hardcore into their car's history as some others are Alan... I guess it isn't so far fetched that he might just be thinking that the same car wouldn't be considerably different in different markets. And I'm guessing he doesn't have any contacts at Nissan in Japan - why would he want to? After all, the cars are the same in both countries!! You bring up some valid points however in the end he is just someone who knows enough about US market Z's to want to help others via the Internet. Maybe you should email him telling him what's what and he should slap right up the top "The Following Information Relates to US-Spec Z Cars Only" or whatever you deem appropriate. HOWEVER as for beandip not taking Alan's critique very well, remeber you said at the beginning of your post "I have used the info. from this site for the past 2yrs. and found them to be right on the $". To me that's just crying out for Alan to come and inform all of the truth, and remind us not to believe all you read (especially when it comes to the Inernet!). If I were you beandip I would just take it in stride as someone trying to educate us. Maybe you didn't like his tone, but that's the thing about the Internet - it's very easy to get offended by reading what someone says in a slightly different way to how they intended it. AND YOU ALAN, should be ashamed of yourself. Go write a damn book about it all - NOW!!!

Buying a 240z..
hehe thanks i suppose sometimes I give it less credit than it deserves

Buying a 240z..
Depends what you want really... And I wouldn't know what price to pay - I'm in Australia. I suggest you keep your eye out, look at everything and try to work out how much you need to pay for what kind of car you want. I made the mistake of buying too quickly (I inspected 6 Z cars in one day and then made my decision. Next time I won't be in such a hurry to buy one.

Buying a 240z..
Aint that the truth... Well if it were up to me and I had 10k I would wait for a really nice 240 to show up and go for that. Restoring a car is something I would love to do though, and especially if you are close with a mechanic

Buying a 240z..
if you have 10k saved up you could go right out and buy a pristine one with all the resto work already done...

Selling my '68 Roadster 2000
Congratulations! Hope it went to a good owner

Buying a 240z..
Turbo six? I guess you're talking about someone doing a swap with a 280ZX Turbo, Skyline turbo or maybe 300ZX Turbo engine... cos you DO realise they never came stock with a turbo dont you? It'd be pretty rare to find one still, and even if you do, my bet is it wont be cheap.

Rear Hatch gas arm
I was thinking of moving to 215s personally...

Old Car Price Guide
those prices seem to represent Australian Z cars also... only difference is those are AMERICAN dollars... So I guess that means Z's are worth double the amount over there

Frame Rail Damage
Where should you put the jack then? Say a Z has a frame rail which was rusted out from the inside and then someone put a jack undeneath it and the frame rail crumpled right through and put a crack in the floorpan. The rail and floorpan need replacing but not on the other side. How expensive would that job be?
