restoration of steering wheel
Is there the same tutorial on the Internet somewhere? I'm interested too but I dont think ordering a reprint and getting it transported to Australia is going to be too cheap...

Catalytic Converter?
Just wondering - were they standard on '71 Z's as I think I have one (either that or 2 mufflers...) but I found that they were only standard on all cars from the mid-70s...

Only $AUD 295,000.00
That 'yoda has been for sale for at least a year and a half........ I think the Z looks better

My 71 "Z"
Looks excellent ... especially the rear mud flap things and the side badges - Is it really a Japanese one or was that just a mod you/someone did ?

Honk if you drive a Z, or Where's the love?
Well I'm a young one and I *always* wave or put my thumb up to a passing Z (never a ZX)... I've always received some acknowledgement... Flashing lights I wouldn't do, as (a) it's tricky to do when a car just flashes by and ( over here at least flashing lights means "watch out, I just passed a copper!"

2+2 vs 2 Seaters
Sweet! I actually like that... just because it's really different. Any other weird prototypes that never made it?

1/4 mile times
I think the main "mod" you'll need to get a 12 second Z is to get a new engine................

Rear left Interior Panel
I would like a black rear left interior panel thing from a 240z... preferrably in SE Queensland so I can just come and pick it up. It must be in good condition...

2+2 vs 2 Seaters
The 2+2 does look decent, but the kink in the roofline makes it soooo different. It's like a totally different car, in my mind. It looks more of a luxury cruiser and not sporty at all... it's strange how such a small change can change one's perspective on the car completely. *cough*280zx*cough*

My '75 280Z. Needs a few things
Well it certainly LOOKS pretty darn impeccable... Colour coded bumpers and window sills not to my taste though

72' 240z
Actually from the description and pictures that Z does look mighty impressive... can't say how much it would be worth but that price doesnt seem too outrageous to me...

Warning: May Offend Z Owners
Why? WHYYYYYYYYY??? http://www.z-car.com/stef.htm I mean sure, do that to your Z if you feel its really neccessary, but dont post it on the internet!!!!!

Rebuilding a 5-speed
Well, as my synchro has gone in 2nd my father, a mechanic we know and myself are going to take apart my gearbox next week and replace whatever needs replacing (hopefully just the synchro). My question to you is how long do you think it will take if everything goes to plan, and is there anything we should know before ripping the box out?

Introduce yourself to the class?
I'm talking about the 280Z, not hte 280ZX

clutch slipping
Geez guys thanks for the explaination! I think I might have a bit of that ? When flooring it, every here and there it seems to stop pulling for a bit... could this be clutch slipping ?

How rev-happy are Zs?
Yep I've got that problem too.... mmm thanks ! Also thanks to Timberwolf I'll check out those things too (or at least get someone to show me :-/)

How rev-happy are Zs?
I'm feeling that something is amiss with my 240z as in normal driving I feel as though at about 2000rpm I should change gear. Is this normal ? Also, I've revved her pretty hard but it's quite hard to get up to 6000 and I've only ever been there once - let alone anything higher. It just doesn't *feel* good for the car if you know what I mean. Also, at those high revs it feels like the car runs out of puff... How would you describe the *feel* of a Z at the different rpms ?

"Z roar"
Perhaps he has a 280ZX turbo because that would certainly make a "unique almost whining sound"............. Between what rev range is the sound made?

clutch slipping
heh sorry I cant help, erm but would you mind explaining what exactly "clutch slipping" is? :cross-eye
