240K in just cars magazine?
Longest sentence EVER!

Early 240Z wheels and hubcaps
No!! Then you'll bloody bend them! Interesting to hear the demand too, but if I were you I would keep the original wheels too. I wouldn't start trying to repaint them as I think that would decrease the value since they are in pretty good nick now anyway. Maybe I'm weird, but I wouldn't want them to be perfect. Got to have a bit of patina!

240K in just cars magazine?
That is Ray Furgeson, sounds like they made a mistake when doing it - it should be RB20 with triple webbers. Not to sniff at!!! By the way, that same magazine has a "History of the Z" article (the beginning a small series I guess). My suggestion would be DONT BOTHER. Absolutely terrible with not only factual mistakes but grammatical errors too.

Getting ready to order Wats. Need opinions
Ron's on the money! If you leave all the chrome trim, then the polished lip will bring it all together nicely - especially on a darker car. The "look" is for all-painted though. Depends if you want to go more "correct" or for appearance. Of course, it is up to you. I opted for polished lip, as on the C110 I think it needs it. But on a Z............ I wouldn't know what to choose with a car your colour. Difficult choice!

I am an 1st gen RX-7 owner.... i now want to add a 70 240z....
The great thing about S30s is that they don't have quite as many "quirks" as SA22s!! My friend had a series 1 RX7 with some mild upgrades and it was fantastic. We got to compare them quite a bit as at the time I had a 240Z. I still prefer the 240Z, but the RX7 is great too - it was often called "the 240Z of the 80s" because by then, the Z car had gone seriously bad with the 280ZX. I disagree with beandip here. Sure they have different kinds of engines, but they are very, very similar. Actually 10 years of technology didn't really show much to me. The 240Z looks much more "classic" though. Feels more "oldschool" too. But I think they are very similar. Best way to see what you think of them though is to go and drive one!! Let us know if you have any more questions though, these guys here will be able to answe/solve just about anything you throw at them.

240k coupe on ebay
Hey guys, Bruce I believe that was the same car Peter was looking at and almost bought, but then the guy turned around and said he had decided to keep it!

Stiring the pot...
Caen Fred, is that the lilac/silver car that has painted bumpers? Please take care! That one is not so much GT-R replica as GTR badged. About the only JDM bit I noticed was the tail lights! It looks like a nicely presented car though, just make sure you know what it is. An RB-engine without turbo or EFI junk would be fantastic. Cheap power, and you don't have to lose that fabulous "oldschool" sound!! Top notch.

my 260z with headlight covers
Looking fantastic Ben. Looks like a rare LHD home-market car!! The headlight buckets are a different shape? That's news to me. Howso? I noticed your covers are a different shape to the ones I had on my 240Z. Mine carried the line of the fender around to meet the bonnet edge - do you know what the story is with that?

Car won't start
Sounds just like the problem I had when my fuel lines were clogged up with all sorts of junk! Do what Arne said!

datsun owners identifacation card
Interesting! What year is your car? Is the Identification card attached to the owner's manual? I don't think any of that stuff would be more valuable to anyone else but yourself. It may affect the value of your car a bit I guess. Love the receipts you've got!! Apparently my car's previous owner (original owner) still has all the documentation from new but I haven't been able to get a hold of it. Quite possibly gone now

Someone's famous!
Not many I would think! Here in Australia, anyway. I know a guy who is in the process of starting a business doing just that. Should be printing by next year. It's a common "wouldn't it be cool if" thought but it rarely ends up as anything more! I guess it's a very limited market. And to me people who walk around with a big car on their shirts either (a) look like dorks or ( 9 years old Unless it's done in a fashionable way.

Someone's famous!
Well done Ben! I thought I was being too obvious but apparently not! Anyway, interesting that he's not only ripped off the picture but the information too! He's got other similar shirts too, probably done in a similar fashion. But it's still cool to see, especially for you Michael!

Someone's famous!
I was scouring the Auctions in Japan just today when I came across a cool looking yellow t-shirt with a C110 on it. I was curious so I clicked... yeah yeah the usual slightly amusing engrish paraphrase, but what caught my eye was the car. It looked familiar somehow... but why? Look closely at the details... does it remind you of anything?:classic: LINK: http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e57547269 I'll give you a clue. It's not in Japan.

Early Datsun 5 speeds: need Z g/box guru
Now if only there was someone with a spare in Australia! I've got a FS5W71B I can offer but depending on whereabouts you are in Aus that might not be economical to post either.
