Faux chrome for detailing trim pieces
Thanks - I tried looking for similar products a while ago without luck... Will have to go for a hunt again. In the mean time, I have used a KRYLON Silver Leaf pen which is very good (best silver pen I've tried yet) but not chrome.

Yes I know I don't have a Z
Ute is just short for utility. SUV's are different.

Yes I know I don't have a Z
Aw, your ute seems to have been so popular that you've now exceeded your monthly bandwidth limit. Nevermind, I'll just look tomorrow. Anyway, welcome to the site! Not many Z's in NZ... would you consider importing one from Australia?

14 X 7j Watanabe type B wheel set on Ebay
You could...... but you'd be wrong There are a few different styles and sizes of centrecaps. A lot of cars don't run with them in Japan because A. it gives that "racer" look and/or B. they're easily stolen. Check out my gallery for one style. They come in black too (with red centre logo) and also a smaller hexagonal style. Might be others too?

After 4 years, Its finally done!

Which cars had the radiator support painted black?
Alan had some very interesting info regarding the brushed on paint at factory... I searched but cannot find it. Sorry! In regards to colours, I would have thought it would be painted regardless of colour.

You think you have centre cap problems......... you dont want to hear my story!! Good luck to you - looks like flattening the dust caps is the best (ie cheapest and easiest) answer.

Yet another good looking eBay Z - 240 this time
Well, at least it isn't yellow!! PUKE! And yeah, it looks like its a very nice car (though I didn't see all the pics). Why rag on it?

Enrique, less time watching those cartoons and more time looking at cars!! That's a Celica. It's easy to understand their inspiration - of course - but understanding WHY is a different thing. I guess the Japanese have always been known for their eccentric sense of style... there are stranger car crazes!! (e.g. those big batman vans)

240K Wiring Diagrams

I wouldn't be surprised if the roll cages were just painted toilet rolls stuck together. In the video I had showing a very high quality C110 bosozoku car (oxymoron?) he tugged on the hoses leading to the oil cooler and they all kindof just fell out. It wasn't connected to anything. But still, add up all the components and yes, still a lot of money spent on these cars. Like I said before, I just don't get it.

OK, last lot for now. This is Bosozoku style. Cars done up to look roughly like "race cars". I don't quite get it either...

Nismo Festival 2005
Yes it makes perfect sense. My friend is in Japan at the moment teaching (he was at the Nismo Festival too) and he raves about the huge number of events going on throughout the year. He goes to a different one almost weekly... He's more interested in newer stuff but still takes pictures of the classics too. :paranoid:
