The first Z pace car
I love the shot of the 432 pace car at FISCO Alan. It looks like it has some kind of lip on the front valence on both sides? Was this a detail of the Z I did not notice or did they have to bend it out a little for the wheels... or something else? Anyway, thanks for sharing!!

Racecar replica
Wait! The racing ZG uses different flares and a front spoiler. I can't imagine these could be sourced in America. I am sure they are available though as replicas - in Japan. Best bet is to hope Alan sees this thread That is if you're trying to make something a little like this :

Cleaning tail light lens
Wow, brings back memories! Very well thankyou Enrique! Here is a recent picture taken by the new owner. They really came out very nice, and for anyone not doing a concourse restoration I'd recommend painting the grey plastic backing pieces white!

What the Z SHOULD look like....
Yea, but since the 240Z isn't aluminium the only economical solution is chrome paint! Which actually looks just as good from the pictures...

Who goes spare-less?
Wow, didn't think so many people would drive around without a spare. I'm going to invest in one of those "patch kits" I think. Oh and put the jack back in my car!! Is there any alternative to a "patch kit"? Space-saver wheel, but I dont think they're available new are they?

Whats going on?
Peter, I'd love to see your car too (in whatever state it's in!) - this weekend or next weekend any time is fine by me. Give me a PM to let me know what time you like! Rob, got all the cosmetics? Good job! How thorough are you going?? ie authentic badges, bucket seats?? Have you sourced some C110 rear quarter "GT" badges? Also, how many bloody holidays do you want?!?! Lord knows how you save up any money for the car when you're jetsetting around the world all the time! Tom, that really sucks about the tail light panels. I thought they'd be identical. If you ever need me to measure anything on the hardtop to see if it's different just ask! There's a lovely white 4-door going around my city too driven by an old couple. I put a note under their windscreen wiper a year or two ago you never know... Yes, the camber is a big problem if you go any lower - I had a talk with the guys and confirmed with King Springs that yes this is the LOWEST they make springs for the 240K. Insane isn't it... anyway, they are custom cutting the springs on the rear a little to make the car flat (at the moment there's about a 3cm rake). Hopefully then it'll look a little better. I think ideally the front would come down lower too an inch but I can only just get up the driveway as it is... gotta think sensibly sometimes. Bruce, don't worry I don't think I could allow myself to do such a thing. An SR20DET maybe... but not Toyota (even though they are great engines). I'm getting a new exhaust system on Friday.

US B210-->is this the US's 240k?
The 610 (replacement for the legendary 510, aka 180B in Australia) is pretty different to the C110 (240K) really. They look similar but put them side-by-side and you can see the C110 is a much bigger car. Though, it's closer to the C110 than the infamous B210 (120Y)!!

Whats going on?
Hi Tom, I have been trying to get this bumper for some time now (about 6 months) from Warren. You know how he is, you really have to want the part and let him know it for him to organise it. I would definitely recommend asking your local Nissan dealerships... I have never done it personally but what's to lose eh? Failing that you could always get yours straightened and chromed. Trouble is you'd probably want to do the little stainless surround bits too, and the front bumper... and the front SS... and and and... :tapemouth I've attached a couple of pictures of the new setup. It handles very nicely now with oodles of grip. I have "low" King Springs all around with some medium stiffness shocks.. I thought the ride would be pretty harsh but it's actually not bad. I said "low" because the rear seems way too high. I'm not sure what's going on there but it looks like a dragster from the side. I'm going back on Monday to sort this out. It will definitely not stay this high. I'd love to fit an engine to match the looks, but now I'm pretty much broke. Give me a few years though :cheeky: The Supra engine swap is something I would consider too. But in the end I think an RB25DET (or 26DETT if you want to be silly) still wins, even if it's more costly. It's almost an insult to put a Supra engine into the old Skyline... $500 for a carb rekit. Hmm, I'll save up for the gearbox first I think. Let us know how that goes if you get yours rekitted. Kent, I grinned when I saw your intentions to do up your C110 in the theme of a Japanese Police Car! This is exciting news - I really want to see a C110 police car replica so I hope it turns out well! "Something a bit different" is an understatement! Now, where's Kyteler?!
