Tokyo Auto Salon 2005
Oh, only the grey Z. You are beginning to sound like you're taking it for granted! Thanks for sharing the Tokyo Auto Salon pictures. I really like that roadster and the blue Z (is that the same one we discussed a while ago?). I can't say I like many of the others though!

Proof of the C110!!
Jason, 510 (rally car) is in it. As is the 240ZG, and the Fairlady 2000 Roadster. There was a website with all the cars in the game but I don't have it anymore. I'M PUMPED TOO!!

Police Version
I know this thread is old, but here's something on Yahoo Auctions Japan that could be of interest to some: http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f29909590 AV Translator gave me a few interesting snippets: "It is low travelling of miracle! Performance vehicle of S30Z western police! Real thing! The capital city high, the patrol car uniting the formation, will white パト of S30Z one probably know the fact that it is running with that famous ending scene which travels?" "1978 type travelling 8832 km 1 owner, it is genuine actual travelling!" "About 1 year half the genuine color (it is the feeling where just a little cream color enters into white) all it painted before, but as to before the that is picture 1, it was white パト specification. Picture 2 is the present form." (I'm guessing it no longer has all the police decals?) Hmmm?

Recommended method for a basic valve cover polish...?
Start at 600? Geez! I think you could start at a fair bit less than that. Use wet sand paper too. And take pictures (before and after)! So you can show off your work here afterwards.

Restored tool kit
From the album: Tool Kit
I also polished the rest of my tools, and cleaned up the vinyl bag as best I could. The result is a pretty decent tool kit. Certainly not like new, but a thousand times better than before. Am I missing any tools? -
Wheel Chocks painted
From the album: Tool Kit
Finally they are painted. Colour is similar to original but I think a little lighter. It's hard to tell in this photo though. -
Wheel Chocks primed
From the album: Tool Kit
Now in primer. -
Wheel Chocks after sanding
From the album: Tool Kit
After rust converter, sand paper and a whole lot of elbow grease, the chocks were returned to bare metal. -

Wheel Chocks after paint stripper
From the album: Tool Kit
After paint stripper, a lot more rust than expected came out. I applied rust converter to this before sanding. -

I started cleaning them with hot water, but soon the paint just started to peel off, so I decided to go the whole hog instead. -
What does the original battery look like?
Thank you Chris, Mike and Lance. I think I will paint the "Yuasa" text and the caps in yellow Yes Chris, it is a 1:12 ZG model I am making (but not die-cast, Prox). Very high level of detail as you can see! I made a few mistakes with the engine though, I'm not very happy with some of it. Disappointingly, there are no stickers included in the kit - at all. That just means I have to paint on all the labels and decals (ugh) such as the oil filter and the battery. I haven't done the air filter yet. Very nice kit otherwise! Thanks guys again for the great response

What does the original battery look like?
Thankyou Chris! Would you happen to know what colours the battery is? I believe it was black, but what about the YUASA text etc.? (here is a picture of the engine!)

What does the original battery look like?
Hello, I am still making that 240ZG model but am having trouble finding a picture of an original battery. The closest I got was a thread by kats ( http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13095&page=1 ) but still no dice. Does anyone know what they looked like, or even better have a picture of one? I would much appreciate it
