Hi Rick I find the MG guys to be the best fun :devious: You can always see they are checking out your car, but trying to look inconspicuous at the same time. Whenever I saw an MG drive by in my Z, I always just grinned at them. You can tell what they're thinking!

Z Restoration Progam
Firstly, excellent info Chris, and presented well too. I really enjoy reading about these cars, even if I'll probably never see one! Vicky, what makes you say that? To me those cars look like they have been restored perfectly. Is there something specific you saw that was left out you feel should have been done? Any "fine details"? I'm not attacking you, just interested!!

Your thoughts wanted, preservation/restoration?
Do it! Removing those awful, ugly side markers does wonders for the car IMO.

ZTV-what would you want it to be?
I would like to see things you dont see every day. ie Interviews with important Nissan/Datsun people (everyone is thinking Mr. K right now!), cars in action in HIGH RES, with GOOD sound quality (and no voice overs!), comparisons between different Z's, history of the car including design & development, testing (Canada!) and "The Goertz Story", racing footage, articles on home-market spec cars (and indeed markets other than America too to note the differences and also to talk to Z owners from around the world!)... There is quite a load of stuff that could be done. I would much rather have more focus on Japan and the people who were actually behind the car than Big Sam and Pete Brock talking about racing their cars in America. But that's just me I guess. FWIW!!

Carbon parts (post suggestions)
I think Mike (the owner of this site, btw) was just posting that info for others who might actually be interested in carbon fibre parts, and don't want to wait/pay for shipping from Sweden. P.S. from the looks of this CF bonnet, Will's idea might work!!!

Is the rear panal the right color?
That has nothing to do with it! Honest! *sob*

Is the rear panal the right color?
That's funny, IMO the rear panel looks best on a silver car.

NB: You have to have numlock on first!

Is the rear panal the right color?
It could just be the odd lighting like Stephen alluded to. Notice the body colour is a blueish silver, whilst the rear panel has no blue in it. It's grey. It does look like it's too light though. If you're interested in it, ask for another picture! Or better yet, look at it in person.

Ebay 260Z 2+2 in Tasmania
Richard, well, ahh... err... yer I missed it. But the L26 is probably not worth the hassle over an L24 I guess. Considering mine's the original and has dual SUs now too. Right?

front speakers
Good job Mark. That's where I installed my speakers in my Z, and where I believe the best spot for them is. The neat thing about a Z is the cabin is so small. You don't need much in the way of speakers. One of the Z's I saw when shopping for one had two 15" subs sitting right behind the seats. :stupid:

1964 Datsun Deluxe 1200 Bluebird
Hey Ben, I think this is the same car: http://www.datsunsports.com/Cars/641200.htm I thought the new shape (410) came out in 1964, but maybe this is a very late model. From looking a pictures on the "Early Datsun Homepage" this looks to be a 312 model, which was "pretty much identical to the 1962 (311) model except for a change in the grille and tail light design". Thanks for the pictures!

Some people have got their priorities all wrong... Are we forgetting the PURPOSE of the Z car was a cheap sports car any person could afford? Why do you want them to increase in value so much that most will sit in garages collecting dust and trophies? I would much rather see them being driven on the streets as they were intended. Talk about vanity! eesh
