California Mille photos
Fun Fact: The owner of Sydney's Luna Park in the 1960's owned an XKSS! I remember seeing a replica D-type once, that was incredible. And then last year when I had the chance to visit the Beaulieu Car Museum I saw a real one! Along with a large number of other fantastic cars in pristine condition. Definitely the best car museum I've ever been to... http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/ Vrrrrooooommmmm

Side window rattles (240K)
Alright! Now I know allllll about the insides of the doors.... I took the whole thing apart, and gave the glass a good clean while it was out. You were right Jim, the little plastic pieces which fitted onto the glass were a bit bent. Since I don't have a garage and really needed to get it all back together ASAP, I just wrapped tape around the edges to thicken the ... thingy... It's hard to explain!! It's just fixed. And I also fixed the lock on the drivers side which didn't lock from the inside. Also, the drivers window was hard to roll down, fixed that too! I'm quite proud. I bought some sound-deadening material, so tomorrow I will see if there's enough room behind the interior door panels for some of that. Now, the real test is to see how long before the problems start happening again Lachlan.

Welcome Jim! It's awesome that you have found us here. The more the merrier. We've got quite a few Skyline fans here now along with the hundreds of Z fans from all over the globe. The Fairlady Z was just the domestic market 240Z (In fact, all base-model Z's have been called simply "Fairlady Z" in Japan, even the new 350Z). It came with a L20 engine instead of the export L24, for emission/tax reasons. In Japan they had a lot of different variations and options aswell - much more than we ever got. Such models as the Z432 like you mentioned, 240Z and the king! The Z432-R. If only some of them made it down here......! What a great story about the SP311! I remember just some time ago I saw a new Boxster smashed up backwards against a road sign one morning. That was a shock! A guy was fumbling round in the boot trying to steal the spare wheel... Anyway, hope you enjoy your stay here, and good luck in your search! Are you willing to travel? With our keen members here I'm sure most of us will have a look around for you in our local areas if you get serious about buying a 240K...

not Z related....must see though...300SL
Very, very nice. But for that price I'd be looking at something cooler... like a house. Are you sure it was the exact same type of car? Just that I didn't think the SL's were EVER cheap...

G-nosed 280...
I believe it was a special edition 280Z the yanks got, with stripey paint and stuff. The seller says: "The ZZZap yellow 280z was a one year only feat by Datsun, and that was for this 1977 model year. Still has its original paint sticker and code 411 for ZZZap yellow." It didn't come with the G-Nose or flares from factory, though. And he doesn't claim that either so its ok.

Side window rattles (240K)
No, no water. But I had to clean them out using water. The bucket full of water was BLACK from all that crud. It's loose because there is play in hte "slide rail thingy"! I'm pretty sure.

That looks awesome! Pity about the rear bumper and ugly wheels!

Side window rattles (240K)
Hey guys My passenger window rattles a fair bit and so I took off the door panels today to see if I could tighten them up (the driver one does a wee bit too so I thought why not do them both at the same time). Anyway, erm, now that the interior door panels are off, how do I tighten the window mechanism thing so my windows dont rattle? :stupid: By the way, if you haven't already I suggest you remove the rubber plugs which plug up the drain holes in the doors :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: Most of mine were already removed (thank goodness) but the ones in the middle of the door weren't. I also cleaned out the insides of the doors and the attached picture is what came out!!!

1975 Triumph 2500TC
I love the styling of these cars. Bit of a tank, but definitely stylish I think. If I were you, I'd take off the visor, and put some chrome mirrors on.

Stock or Racing Seats
Yep, those look very nice in there. You'll find they are very very supportive... and REAL leather. 944 seats have less lateral support, although I think the 944 S2 has different seats.... The later ones are electric in the 911 aswell, but it's the whole price thing though isnt it...
