Yep, they're not really worth very much. Why? People like looking at them, but not many actually want to own one. Too rare for their own good? I'd imagine they'd be bloody hard to find parts for. They're worth quite a bit more in Japan where they appreciate their own classics a bit more... Craig has one , maybe he'll chime in

I'm glad you got it working Craig - if anyone has difficulties let me know as it can be tricky with regions. I hadn't tried it on a DVD player actually but they do work fine on computer Noddle, a neat idea, and something I'd probably do if I hadn't paid a substantial amount for it . . . just trying to recoup and share at the same time.

Bu Zamil, this may be a bit off track but what I am very interested in is the 160K / 180K. I have heard of these and have references, but have never seen pictures of a real one. Only Japanese short wheel base "Skylines". Do you have any pictures of the 160K or 180K?

Schwiplarkin, we were sold the C110 Skyline in Australia as the "Datsun 240K". They were export cars equipped with the L24 engine. I do not think any country except the home country (Japan) got the L20 engine. By domestic I just meant that it was originally built for the home market (Japan) - ie JDM like Kent said. Is this the case? Where are you located?

The problem is that Australia Post has limits on how large a package you can send overseas. I don't know about 200B bumpers but a 240K bumper does not fit within the limits... I remember a couple of 200Bs in wreckers nearby, but the bumpers I recall were totally shot. :/

I don't think it would be too difficult to find, but they would cost quite a lot to ship over to the States. I'd try posting a wanted message on the Ozdat forums and/or classifieds and seeing if something comes up?

You can thank the bean counters / engineers for that, not the designers. True. But the car surpassed the expectations of Nissan and has undoubtedly been a success. Every younger person I've spoken to about the Z33 loves it and thinks it looks great. It is the minority that think it is ugly.

Well technically it was a "classic and unique" Japanese car event... I think they weren't really sure how many entrants they'd get, so they opened it up to a wider spectrum of cars. I think next year it'll probably be slimmed down to classic only. It would certainly clear up some confusion as to who is eligible...
