Hmm... I'd really hope to own one one day. Or a Clipper. Clipper would be cool! Thanks for that pic! I have the same pic except in a smaller size, great to have one showing some DETAIL. The KPGC110 was a strange oddball of a Skyline wasn't it? I'm actually currently turning mine (with some help from the incredibly knowledgeable Alan T (yeah that guy up there /\)) into a GT-R replica ... one day I hope to have a really period car... Any more pics of you and your fathers cars would be awesome. It's very hard to find good pics of these cars on the Internet.

240Z in movies
I want some of those JEANS!!!

so what's so special about the Z car?
Yep, it's personal. Styling, power, and I love the fact that I'm driving a piece of history. This car really was the car to introduce Nissan (and the rest of the Japanese Automotive industry) to the world. Big statement, but I believe it to be true. Also I love the rarity and exclusivity (at least in Australia). I've always said I would never own an 'ordinary' car and the 240Z is absolutely extraordinary. Porsche performance, Ferrari looks, all at the price of a... Datsun? That's something special. Of course you could point I don't actually own one anymore... but that's another story. Corvette's are nice cars too. Dunno why you'd want one though... :tapemouth

YEAH, I saw that! Absolutely awesome that you can get that kind of power out of a 25 year old engine!

Travel to Australia
Yeah? Hmmm... interesting I thought it was just generally Australian.

I think i found the new car that i actually like!!
Excellent choice. The Elise is one new car I'd love to own too... who gives a rats about the carpetless floors and manually-winding windows when you're in a 700kg go-kart!!! As compared to the Z car... well it'd mid-engined, shorter, wider, and lighter. With that 190HP (HOLY ... !) engine you're talking about it'd be crazy! Not too sure if they're all that similar though... I mean the Z car was a sports car, this really is a track car. Now, if you really wanted something special...

and you said i couldnt beat a 350Z
I don't think that's such a big call... The R34 GT-R does a quarter in the high 13's. With a few more mods and more practice you could beat a (stock) Skyline for sure. Although, you'll never beat mine!

Light Switch
Hmm, the one in my old car never really bothered me... You must get strange lookin' tatos in Sacramento !

Light Switch
I'm not sure what you're talking about... potato on a stick? Would someone care to post a picture?

A good score?
You'll love EFI if you can get it to work properly... Sounds like a nice weekend :classic:

bodykit
Well as it seems we have revived the topic I'll add something for those interested in the little Sunny boy (Datsun 1200)... In the early 70's Nissan (like everyone else in the world) was experimenting with rotary power. They used a 1200 Coupe (Sunny) with a 1.0 litre twin-rotor engine with a four-barrel carby. It was previewed at the 1972 Tokyo Auto Show and was soooo close to production... but then they decided not to make it for one reason or another (oil crisis?). This Nissan rotary engine produced 120HP, as opposed to the meagre 69HP of the 1.2 litre four cylinder of the standard 1200. FWIW...

16 yr. olds 1st car
, not sure if that was tongue-in-cheek or not... wire wheels on a Z.... hmmm not too keen on the idea myself but some people seem to be. I think they look a bit cruiser-ish. Oh yeah, nice 280Z

datsun/ nissan 240z/240sx CHECK THIS OUT!!!
Gav, teh PS13 was fitted with a 2.4 litre engine in the US market, thats why they call it the 240SX.. in case you didn't know. Those are probably just halogen or xenon bulbs like michael said 2ManyZ's, S13's from 1990 (i think) got an SR20DE or SR20DET as standard... About the kit I think its great!
