i need help from my aussie friends !
I've now moved the topic. I agree with you Kent - especialy since a few people who post here actually own C10s. I think a more apt name would be "Classic Skyline forum", or maybe "pre-1978 Skyline forums" to keep it C110 and prior. Most C210 guys use SkylinesAustralia.

RIP Peter Brock.
Peter Perfect. King of the Mountain. Brocky. An awesome driver, motorsport legend, and a down-to-Earth, fair dinkum bloke. He was a hero to many and an icon to all. Rest in peace Brocky.

Laurel for sale in Idaho
The C130 looks fantastic, but it's such a huge pity about those flares. Would be perfect without them.

Left hand drive KGC10? 2400GT?
Welcome to the forums, Johann! Don't worry, we have learnt many things since this old topic in 2004 - partly due to your website!!! Thank you for your extra information on production etc. How is your car going? We would love if you could upload some pictures to the gallery.

Crikey
That's exactly how I felt! No one is to blame. It was an accident and a freak one at that. Apparently he is the second Australian to be killed by a stingray... the other was in 1945. Tragic news, especially for his wife and now fatherless kids. It is truly unbelievable how much he did for the conservation of wildlife in Australia and the world.

240Z prices are dropping.
Prices are going up - slowly - IMHO. But like Dave said, it's so hard to track. I do not believe eBay is the best way to track values at all... but it is easy and at least gives some idea!

What is the worst part of this club
I think the idea is prevention rather than a cure But yes, it defeats the purpose entirely when the unapproved pictures still appear on the main homepage! Unapproved pictures should not appear anywhere on the site, IMO! What's the worst thing about the club? Not being able to meet in person, for sure!

Anybody up for a new Z shirt? PART TWO!
It's quite obviously "frenzee"... though I'm not sure its necessary. I think generally the word "SAMPLE" scrawled across the image isn't usually part of the artwork.......... But I agree with the general consensus in that you don't really need text. Maybe just the Z. And the rear window looks like it's a 2+2 !!!

C110 Image Car Replica (for sale!)
Kent, the Hardtop and Sedan share the same switch combination (+ rear switches) I am pretty sure. All four windows roll down... same as C210. Actually, I was told that the C210 switch unit is the same as C110....... they look similar from pictures I've seen but maybe not exactly the same. I'd find a C210 unit first if you want to swap to 'leccy windows as it might turn out easier + cheaper.

C110 Image Car Replica (for sale!)
Yeah the compe handle was a sports option part, very popular in Japan! So popular they did a re-issue batch in the early 90's I know of two people in Aus who are planning to do a replica of the Image Car... though this one is pretty expensive, it could turn out cheaper than building one yourself.

nissan C110 knockoff
Unusual for Nissan at the time, the Cherry was FWD! They certainly were a little experimental (in terms of design) back then

Not a Datsun..But it's Japanese!
The Fairlady Roadster may be a better performing vehicle (with over double the capacity!) but I'm afraid personally, I'd have an S-car over a Roadster any day of the week (except maybe Saturdays). Sorry!

Wikipedia Authors?
I agree with you Miles - while I don't think I'd ever own one as I think they're the "worst of both worlds", they were an important part of the evolution... I have heard people call the R30 "Newman Skyline", and then there's the "Iron Mask" Skyline, and of course R32 "Godzilla"/"Obakemono" ... ?

Not a Datsun..But it's Japanese!
Yes chain drive. I've only ever seen the more common (or maybe that should be "less rare") S800s. A beautiful car, very fond of them! Really need to see them in the flesh to see how small they are!

Wikipedia Authors?
I've never come across someone who places everything under C211 :S But yeah, that would be odd... by the way, the "1" actually signifies electronic injection rather than the facelift (hence why our facelifted C110s are still C110s)! 240C/260C/280C are not Skylines at all, and there was no such beast as the 280K. Crap like that makes you wonder about how accurate the stuff you look up (because you don't know about it) on Wikipedia actually is . . . .

what would you like to see in a new S30 bodykit?
A 2000GT conversion kit would be ace.

picking up 2 more C110's
Great stuff ! Take pics please as we're always interested to see these cars If either has good front bumper indicator units (the whole units) I'm very interested (for Mikey).

Fitting an aftermarket steering wheel
I don't think my "tilt lever" had ever been used when I got my car. It was pretty stiff. But it did come free with a good push! Just try when out of the car to get a better angle. Or use your foot. That pic looks about the same as mine - yeah they drilled in the raised ring in the centre.

What is the most valuable thing about this Club
I agree with you Will, this is kinda like a huge, vastly detailed, interactive service manual. Very cool. Second has to be the fact that we have members from many different countries here. Never underestimate that.

2006 Leyburn Sprints (pics)
It was crazy. My brother caught it on camera sliding off the track too! Lucky it didn't really do any major damage, which was surprising! Can you imagine how hard it would be to drive that thing at the limit?? http://storm.elxx.net/alfadog/leyburnsprints/videos/mightyboy.avi

Fitting an aftermarket steering wheel
Ahhh, not really. I'd have to take it all apart and after the amount of time getting it right I'd rather not. But using the picture you attached: They simply took out the pins from where they are, and drilled holes on that raised ledge around the hole. It was flat though, whereas yours seems to have a step.
