We went up to Leyburn over the weekend, which is in country Queensland. They hold this historic car race (sprints) each year and it's grown to become a pretty big thing. Basically a bunch of old cars driving around an old country town My pictures from the day: http://storm.elxx.net/alfadog/leyburnsprints/ My brother's pics (mostly the same): http://storm.elxx.net/alfadog/leyburnsprints/e/ I was surprised by the number of S30Z's in attendance. Good stuff!

Typically they get additional downforce from the shape of the front bumper, but bonnet spoilers have been done. This is a Toyota Sports part.
  3. So no, the cancel posts were not the same as on the original wheel! Which is pretty terrible considering they list the adaptor as fitting the 240K. The MOMO one we looked at was the same.
  4. hahaha I know just what you mean. Sometimes I wish I wasn't driving, so I could just take some decent footage! Cool video though, damn your car looks awesome on the road.

ROFL ARE YOU JOKING?? When in doubt, wikipedia it! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rice_burner
  6. Not unless it was a really really good one! Not like I'm going to stop anyone though
  7. Personally, I think it would be sad to see it go on anything but a real Fairlady 240ZG...
  8. Michael - cool - anything of interest??? Staff discount?
  9. Your car is such a beast... looks great! Rule number 3 of taking car photos is generally dont park on grass!! Makes it look derelict (not bashing, just trying to help). I'd go find an old warehouse or even an old basketball court and take some there. Let's get the environment suiting the car It would look awesome in a prison I think.... but not sure you'd want to do that!

Awesome ! Thanks Some of the other videos are cool too, including the one two below (FAASSST Silvia), and the one below that (240ZG beating that big old Corvette )

Yeah definitely MX-5. It's quite cool! Not anywhere near as good as the real thing of course, but still cool.

Will - don't think so. Note the exterior-mounted oil cooler, fender mirrors, and different overfenders. Eric - good post - this is definitely a site that can be posted as many times as you like Always worth a visit even if you've been there before.

Thanks Alan, it's all so interesting... fanastic information as always. It's nevertheless romantic to think of the "S20 warriors" as Porsche-beaters, regardless of how much of it was due to the drivers
  14. Alfadog replied to Curtis 240's post in a topic in Open Discussions
Geez, lucky guy! Will be interesting to see how it progresses.

That's a real pity to see. It looks to be pretty straight and complete. Why do people just park these cars outside like this to rust (rhetorical question btw )

Welcome to the forum! Let's see some pictures of your car Don't worry, we're all slightly insane here. P.S. You can of course get flares etc. from Japan, but the biggest problem there is the language barrier. Quality items though

Thank you very much Alan! Very interesting information, especially that the Fairlady 240Z's were raced alongside of - and won against - the Z432-Rs in this race. Better drivers, or a better suited track perhaps? Whatever the case, that is one awesome photograph.
  18. Ah - where are you located, rxsleeper?
  19. Alfadog replied to susie's post in a topic in Help Me !!
Also don't forget Susie may not live in America... where do you live Susie? While it won't affect your car's quirks, it will have a huge impact on value...!

There's Trackmania, and there's Live for Speed. Two of the better online racing games, but entirely different games... That thing looks so cool. I was wondering what it would do if you crashed, just before it answered my question! I though it was going to flip itself over! Imagine how heavy that thing weighs, and it sure is moving a bit! That's a serious piece of kit. Would need to bolt it to the floor really... I want one!

Sorry to dredge up an old topic (though it's probably worth a revisit as it has a lot of great info in it), but I just found this photograph and thought others would like to see! I can't tell you anything about it unfortunately, but I was hoping perhaps someone could shed some light on it?

Interested in getting a pair for Mikey in the States - could you post a pic of what yours look like Mustadd?
  23. I'm thinking Bertone... but it looks too clumsy.

Lucky? LUCKY??? At least you can just go to your local hobby store to find models! This is the Aoshima GC10 : http://www.hlj.com/product/AOS31643 And this is the Aoshima PGC10: http://www.toyeast.com/v3/pdtdetail.asp?pdt_id=TAO11294

Nick - I know it's been over two years now... but looks like Kyosho were listening when you asked about a 1:18 Kyosho KPGC110 as they have since released the model. I got my hands on one earlier this year and it is without a doubt sensational. Kyosho seem to keep improving their quality as time goes on... I have been told you can buy them in Australia but I haven't been to a hobby shop in a long time. I got mine on eBay a few months ago. After a long time searching I finally got a KPGC10 and KPGC10 #15 Takahashi Works car too. When it rains it pours.
