eBay madness again
Exactly. Perhaps I was too subtle. I'm just saying that prices won't increase indefinitely - quite a few people have said that they're holding onto parts to sell later... but perhaps - all things taken into account - it's actually quite a good time to sell right now? Now, to pack away my 30 sets of 300ZX tail lights to fund my retirement....

2006 Japanese Car Show (QLD, Australia)
Hey Richard - will you be bringing the S130?? I really hope this will be a big one! I'm doing my part - printed out some forms and search the carparks whenever I go anywhere!

WANTED: 240K Parts
Hi guys, I'm searching for a few bits and pieces, for me and other 240K owners I know! Please please let me know if you have, or can get, any of the following: - Windscreen wiper (actually, only need the little piece of metal that holds the spring to the base of the wiper (kind of peanut shaped) but will take the whole wiper if need be. - Front Indicator units (the ones in the bumper, including the backing - good lenses not entirely necessary but preferred) - Tail light wiring harness (L and/or R, will take the whole tail lights if need be) - Weather strip rubber seals that fit onto the rear qtr windows of Hardtop That's all I can think of for now!

eBay madness again
What I would really like to see are some good expert opinions on the price of such rare NOS parts at the moment, and what trend they could follow. Is it better to hold onto your rare NOS bits for the future hoping prices will rise MORE, or sell them now? How much further can prices go? Take into account inflation. Is holding onto your thousand dollar tail lights a worthwhile investment? Or would you be better to buy some blue-chip shares? What do you think?

Clock Repair: Analog, 70-78 Z (Round)
Oops, sorry, must have missed this. I had a fairly quick try at getting the clock cover apart, but couldn't. So I tried a spare clock I had and it worked, albeit slowly. Adjusted the speed with the controller on the back and now I have a working clock! It's a smidge too slow, I need to wind it forward about 5 minutes every week. But I'm happy with that.

the first time i saw a kpgc110 in hong kong
The rare NAPS GT-R! That's very cool, I like the colour scheme a lot. I hopet he gets some wide wheels for it soon to fill out those guards! Please note that it is not a "KPGC110", but a replica of one. Thanks for sharing

75 Fairlady as a daily driver!
Good point Greg, but you CAN actually keep a car in good condition whilst driving it daily.

1980 280ZX wheel color on Silver 1977 280Z.. suggestions?
Definitely not gold!!! My personal choice for your car would be: A. Gunmetal grey B. Polished (chrome) C. Polished (chrome) Although for something a bit different, you could paint the part C the same as part A, that might look good... or it may just look strange.

It has begun...
On the 240K 2-door hardtop it's a rubber seal attached to a piece of metal that I believe is glued on.

That's so awesome. So you're saying these trucks actually ARE used for truck-like duties? I thought they were just mobile works of "art" - truckies getting their own back at those crazy Bosozoku guys! I saw pictures of the interior of one of them once, just crazy - as cluttered and completely overwhelming as the outside. I love it!

Civic beats a 350Z?
Believe it or not, some Hondas are fast.

It has begun...
Mate, if you ever see another one, I want it!!

It has begun...
No. Hardtop basically means pillarless - ie there is no pillar between the front and rear side windows. The 240K 2-door is technically a hardtop, not a coupe. The 4-door is a sedan, but you can have a 4-door hardtop. For example, the Cedric in Japan came in 2-door hardtop, 4-door hardtop and 4-door sedan.

Hi Eric, thanks for the information and pics!! Sounds like someone had a ball..... I have been trying to find out what the style of those trucks is called. Does it have a name? What's the deal? Are these guys "bosozoku" trucks or is it a completely different scene?

They also called it the 121... I'm sure Craig knows all that though Interesting to hear that police can't do anything about it. So there's no such thing as being "defected" while driving? Just get all the paperwork every 2 years and you're set? That sounds good!

Couple more. The exhaust pipes can get quite ... imaginative.

OT - Global Warming and Datsun Trucks
Wow - that's LUCKY! Time for a reflective heat shield? If you didn't have one already?

vin number
Just for future reference, it was only American cars that had the VIN plate also on the dash. The tags are sometimes removed or illegible from age. However, all production S30s will have the VIN stamped on the firewall.

Wow, bosozoku in America! Don't happen to have any pictures? This car's history could be quite interesting. Ordering new parts for a C210 in America? You must have good contacts, what new stuff did you manage to get your hands on? P.S. Here's two "bosozoku" cars for those playing at home! These are pretty subtle.

A little fun at Thunderhill this weekend...
OK OK Guys, my sound card isn't working at the moment - no, really!! :stupid: Definitely not a Spider or a Datsun Roadster though. Both are not that curvaceous. More like Austin Healey but the tail lights are too high. Think I'll just wait until lww replies.

which engine is better, 350v8 or sr20det?
Where are you located? It makes a difference.

Frankenheimer's classic 'Grand Prix' will be released on DVD 11 Jul 06!!!!!
Please excuse my Generation-Y ignorance, but why is this movie (?) so special? What makes it the "best racing movie ever made"? I'm intrigued.
