She's DONE!!!
Ed, I too have been following your work for a while now. In fact it was only earlier today I had a look at your old pics in your gallery! Car looks absolutely fantastic. GORGEOUS paintwork. And that engine... wow, looks just like a REAL LIFE Franklin Mint model. I'm sure you are so proud. You deserve it! I can only begin to imagine how much time, sweat and $$$ went into your restoration. Please make sure to take HEAPS of pictures of the finished product, so we can all drool in envy!! Congratualtions!

GTX coupe tail lights and rear panel for sale
Xzibit and his boys wouldn't go to that much trouble... pearlescant flames down the side, 32" rims, DVD screens and a flame-thrower exhaust maybe!! I know a guy putting C110 lights in his 120Y Coupe. Now that should be an improvement. I think for anyone wanting a "unique" look to their Z (why does everyone change their tail lights anyway?) that idea is great. Better than a lot of the horrid stuff you see, anyway...

I think it may need to be lowered.

Why would you want 6x9's if you have subwoofers? Are you going to have some tweeters in the front too? 4" for front seems a little stingey. Why not do 6.5" splits, mounted on the kick-panel - if possible. Another way people have done it is mounting either side of the centre console. Not so good acoustically but at least you don't have to cut your door panels.

Hello. I was driven away by the 240sx crowd.
Welcome! I'm sure you'll have an absolute blast owning the Z. It is a very different car. Nevertheless, would you mind posting a picture or two of your S13s?

Your First car.
Wow, I was just thinking a thread like this could be fun! Great minds think alike. Anyway, my first car was a 240Z and it was in 7/10 condition I'd say. I didn't spend all that much on it, because it was just how I liked it really. Put a CD player in it instead of the old Alpine tape deck, and a new exhaust system. That's about it. I will get another one one day...

Welcome to the club Ryan! This is so cool, we've had loads of new young members lately. Good to see more young Z guys now

4" Exhaust Tip Too Big?
Too big, looks tacky IMO. But what do you mean "the only ones that fit 2.25 inch tubing have an outlet of ... 4 inches"? I feel that if you can't find a tip smaller than 4" you aren't looking around enough! Plenty of choice in Australia at least, even a "love heart" shape if that's your thing... For my Z I chose 3", which fits perfectly in the lower valence. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=2616&cat=3078&page=1

GTX coupe tail lights and rear panel for sale
Just a note on this - those rear "SKYLINE" badges are now NLA so if you were thinking it could be cheaper just to buy that badge, think again! If I didn't already have mine, I'd buy this in an instant. Actually, I might still bid...
