1975 280Z for sale in TX
1975 280Z, 107K miles, original engine/trans (auto) both in EXCELLENT shape, interior in pretty good shape, outside in good shape (only one small dent on right rear corner), runs and drives perfect, cold A/C, good heater, new tags and inspection, new fuel lines, new side-view mirrors (the ones in the photo were the old ones), needs nothing to be driven daily. Even if you just need solid, reliable daily transportation, you could do a whole lot worse. Car located in Dallas, TX area. $1700obo. Seriously. Make me an offer. Email for more info/questions: roperphoto@sbcglobal.net

just bought a 76 280 !! woo
With the stock AFM settings, yes it would be WAY too rich. IMHO, the turbo injectors are only necessary if you have a turbo. The stock injectors seem to flow enough fuel for even a lightly modified non-turbo. HTH

Tire sizes for 17" wheels?
Basically stock... :classic: Plans right now are sportier springs (not coil-overs), new shocks (KYB), the 17" wheels shown above (either adaptors or long studs and spacers), and that's about it. Eventually it may go to Ground Control coil-overs, but it's not likely at this time. It's a daily driver, not a race car.

Tire sizes for 17" wheels?
Well, I'm looking at these in a 17x7.5... So it looks like a 215/45-17 is probably my best bet.

I hate power brakes!
1. Nah, didn't wanna whore my 510 on a Z sight. I know you guys look down on the lowly sedans. :cheeky: 2. I went through most of it yesterday (new pads, new shoes, flushed the system), but the left rear wheel seems to have a blockage in the line? When I open it to bleed it, fluid just dribbles out instead of shooting out? I'm assuming I may still have air in the system and that's the problem... 3. Fuji FinePix 2650. Best $175 i ever spent.

I'm going to try disconnecting it in a controlled environment just to see what happens. Worst case scenario, I don't like it and I hook it back up. Thanks for the reply.

Looking for custom front bumper...
Well, just something similar (bumper and airdam one piece) is what I want. I've seen them for sale before, just not sure where. Thanks for the link, I'll check it out and see if they have them. :classic:

Looking for a front bumper like this: Anyone know who sells them?

Tire sizes for 17" wheels?
Looking at these tire sizes: Stock tire diameter = approx. 24.7" 205/50-17 (25.1") 215/45-17 (24.6") 225/45-17 (25.0") Looks like 215/45-17 would be best for me. I was just curious if anyone was running 225's (or wider), and if anyone had 17" wheels and wanted to share their tire size and experiences?

I hate power brakes!
>510's don't have pwer assit? Or your Vacumbooster just out? None of the sedans pre-75 had power assist. Only the Z. >510 does not create the power/torque that the Z does. Mine does. :devious: FYI, it ain't exactly stock. >510's have disc/drum set ups just s the Z With Vacum power assit. Again, none of the early sedans have power assist. I really love the non-assist brakes on the 510, and the only real issue I could see with taking it off the Z is the extra weight of the car making it reallly tough on the firewall... and the leg. >Try braided lines. That's coming soon enough. :devious:

I hate power brakes!
Every day. It's my 510. :classic: But you make very valid points. I mainly just wish the pedal felt a little firmer, less soft. Any thoughts? I'm also not 100% sure yet they are bled as well as they can be. That would explain some of the sponginess.

I hate power brakes!
Question, If I simply remove (and plug off) the vacuum line to the booster, what will happen? I would rather my car did not have power brakes. Personally I hate the way they feel compared to regular manual brakes. Anyone ever tried to bypass it before?

naps-z ?????
I have a 280Z intake here that says NAPS-Z on it. Never seen another one anywhere... The only thing in the US that had the NAPS-Z name associated with it was the Z20E/Z22E 4 cylinders from the 80-83 200SX.

Yes, they are Western Cyclones. I'm looking for the Western 8-spokes (look like Panasports) but I've never been able to find any.

just bought a 76 280 !! woo
If you trust the seller that can be a good way to get some cheap. Buying them from the JY, I've usually had to buy 2-3 sets to get 6 that don't leak.

Try calling them. They do stock the 4-lug wheels, they just don't list them on the website.

Ditching the EFI would be a very bad idea. It is alot more reliable and dependable. You really lose no power with it either. FYI, the SU's were made for a 2.4L, not a 2.8L, and they were too small for that. FYI, You can usually buy rebuilt injectors for around $40 USD each.

Try Smiley's Racing. They sell them for a pretty good price.
