  1. Pulled this of my 70 240 this afternoon, any thoughts to it being a factory option, dealer installed, or plain old aftermarket job...its metal and attaches to the back side of radiator. I've searched and haven't found this question addressed. Thanks, David Spillman
  2. Yea I second that, Without stock horns, you will gain a couple HP up top, but torque curve drops way off. Those MA horns look awesome...I may have to give em a try. david
  3. Jason, I've seen the foam burn, but only under odd ball circumstances.. Fellow racer lost his altenator, and battery lost power, causing misfiring engine, did catch on fire and burn big spot in the hood. Proper running car shouldn't have that kinda flame. :classic: The element is 2 stage on ITG, with proper oiling , I've had no filtration or lack of filtering problems.... david
  4. Can't go wrong with the setup from ITG...MA sells them, large air volume good flow. Little $$$ but worth it. I've seen only 2.5-3 HP lost on RW DYNO :devious: David Spillman
  5. HI Tractor If Adam can't help you out give me a email at volgolf@aol.com.. I have a couple of years as well sitting around. david spillman
  6. No apologies needed, I understand your position. david spillman
  7. Guys, I think Chris got a great deal on the car. I know for a fact that there are at least 2 individuals who would pay double the ebay price to get there hands on that car. Early cars will/are demanding higher prices then the Nissan restored models.....How many <100 VIN cars are left? 25-30? Bout the same number of the redone factory cars. Will be a great investment in the long run. david spillman [i would have loved to be the winner but there's no way I was going that high sight unseen, especially when the seller never responded to multiple requests for information and more pix (I don't know what his deal was but I think he was a very poor seller). I also have to agree with bambi about the price, I was amazed at the final price. :surprised]
  8. Congrads Chris, I to felt is is or will be worth the investment in the long run. I was asleep at the wheel. David Spillman
  9. I've tried for several hours to email questions...getting bounced "undeliverable" Ideas? Kinda fishy to me. :nervous: david
  10. Weighed the tranny today, comes in at 105 pounds without converter...converter weighing another 18 pounds Wow...quite a difference from the 4-5 speed cars!! Bill I'll call a trucking friend of mine and run this by him, for a estimate.......... Yea, I've been thru the ordeal of waddling into the post office with large or heavy car parts to mail....... david
  11. Mateo05, If still considering the painless way, I have the painless wiring kit I purchased for my race car three years ago...minus one relay. I decided not to use in order to save weight went with lighter 6 toggle switches instead. $75 for the kit....minus one relay, minus paper work that came with it. Not too difficult to figure out. Be glad to shoot you a Pic if you like. trying to clean out the barn david
  12. I'll check on the weight of stuff....pretty dang heavy thou.... all I could do to carry it to the garage door. If I had to guess,it'd be close to 75-100 pounds, I'll carry the bathroom scales out to the garage tomorrow, and get you a number. Swapping to 5-speed is fun stuff!......if you remember that they made a couple different kinds of clutch pedals..... david
  13. I started making space for it yesterday, but Looks like I lost out by a couple of bucks.....I did get some more Pics of underbody this morning from the seller, and it wasn't pretty sight. I didn't have a doner tunnel, and both floors/ rails...so maybe for the best!! I wish best of wishes to the winner of fairlady project! It'll be a special car! david
  14. Pulled out low mileage 60-70,000 auto tranny from car last night......Flex plate, converter, lines, brackets for lines, vacumn line....anyone have interest? I have no need for these items. I'll keep the linkage/shifter Free Pay shipping cost and its yours. david
  15. Sounds like it'll hurt...maybe this will help Above screwdriver...laser pointer stand in. David
  16. I will make sure it winds up on a rotisserre..er..rotisserie if it makes it to my garage....Gotta get this dang waste of time 2002 bimmer out of the way.... Only 6 hour drive from the house. david Spelling
  17. 280Z, The Pics you have linked to have any additional info other then what pops up? I have interest, but like many, a car like this would wind up on the next back burner in line behind 2 other cars in need of "fixes". Lots of little knobs, & switches of interest. david
  18. Beandip... Naw,this car has reside in my basement for 2 years...previous owner owned it 9 years, all under reconstruction. 11 years being put back together..Sad. Getting closer
  19. 2manyzs, While showing the rebuild he claims his brakes have never been turned.....I'm interested in hearing from others with low milage cars. david
  20. Hi All, Several years back I removed one rotor from an early car VIN #3100 or so with the "hat" vented, or with 4 slots. Would this be an early aftermarket rotor or from the factory? I posed this question via private email to several early car original owners back 3-4 years ago with all not really sure if they had been swapped out or not...none had this rotor on their cars. My interest again raised after noticing several photos in the Wick Humble "How to restore" show these same Slotted "hats"Pages 81,86,91,214. This part considered a requirement for car shows, or considered a wear item? Is there still a source for these rotors? Full of questions, david
