!976 Project Race Car 85% Done.
1976 280z SCCA class ITS, project racecar. (Driver got divorced.) What is finished: Fuel injected, balanced, .030 overbore motor installed, built to ITS SCCA specs by Nissan trained tech. 0 time. Nissan Competition oil pan, 3 angle valve job. (extra 280 block, pistons, crank, unworked if you want it.) Wrapped Nissan header. Engine bay painted with gray fleck paint. Oil cooler, 5 speed, Centerforce clutch. 3.5,3.9,4.11 rear ends. All suspension done with poly bushings and coilovers. Koni shocks. Short steering arms, re-movable steering wheel. Front/rear camber plates, strut braces, sway bars. (2 extra bare struts and control arms.) Small diameter Carrera chrome springs. New rotors and drums. Adjustable brake bias. New racing Panasport rims. Eight other rims in two different styles, one set would be good for rains. Interior gutted except for dash. (heater core remains.) Driver's door gutted for NASCAR style door bars. Clear driver air duct in passenger window. MSD unit, hot coil, installed but not connected. (wires are run) Gauges replaced with competition units. Large adjustable Autometer tach with memory. Car comes with a bunch of uninstalled new parts: tank fire system, al racing seat and cover with mounting brackets. Three racing mirrors, fuel cell partially installed, needs bulkhead/lid fabricated out of sheet metal. Two fuel pumps, filter, surge tank, aeroquip lines are included and partially installed. PPG red, white and blue paint, primer, hardener etc., included. Body is straight and in primer. Glass is still installed. Urethane air dam with orange silicone brake ducts. Taillights, side markers, passenger seat, all good condition, uninstalled. Other misc. odds and ends. Major work to be done is the roll cage and paint. I will supply a parts car with a cage that can be easily moved to this car. Most of the remaining is "sweat equity" If you want to go racing, this is a great project, because the big stuff has already been completed. There has been over $11K spent on this car already, and it needs to be on the track and raced! I have too many racecars already. Car is in Atlanta GA, at E. Radatz Motorsports. Quick sale asking price is $4650 or best reasonable offer. (engine alone is worth that!) Email: thoran10@yahoo.com

240z Results from Race at Road Atlanta, June 9th
Grayson Upchurch and E. Radatz Motorsports posted a 3rd place finish after starting 32nd. The poor starting position in the "E Production" race was the result of the primary car losing a motor the day before in qualifing. This 240z was the same car Grayson drove at the SCCA Championships in Mansfield, Ohio, for 3 years but was sidelined when a new car was built and raced last year. He had not driven the car for a year and a half. This 72 240z had posted two second place finishes and one sixth place in the Championship races. It had been leading the field until the final laps in two consecutive years when it was bumped from behind one year, and passed in the rain on the last lap by a Honda in another. Eddie Radatz of E. Radatz Motorsports will have a Silver Z in the 240z car show at the Convention. Stop by to say Hi.
