I'm still looking for a small MIG or TIG for home. But at my shop I have some nice toys. LTEC Migmaster 250 with ST-23 Aluminum Mig Torch Miller 250 Twin Buzzbox Hypertherm Powermax 1100 Plasma Cutter I really want something for the home garage so I dont have to travel to the shop to weld. But its only 10 miles so its not too bad. Chris

I'll check my stuff this weekend. Seems like I had some of both from several salvage yard raids back in the 80's. Chris

Do you know about the MSA rear speaker panel that will hold 6 x 9's? Then you wouldnt have to butcher the doors, just remove the tail light inner panel and replace with the MSA piece. http://www.zcarparts.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=SP Chris
  11. Good advice Victor. I have one 20 ABC and it's next to the work bench and is close to the front of the cars as parked in the garage. Wouldnt be a bad idea to have another close to the garage door as I'm sometimes working out on the slab. Chris

Ebay auction aside, I'd like to know more about both cars. Specs, mods, etc. They look good. Chris
  13. Here's a quote from a website devoted to Halon. http://www.h3r.com/index.htm "The only fire extinguishers that won't choke you and won't damage your aircraft are the liquid Halon extinguishers. They are more expensive than dry chemicals, costing about $100 for a 2-1/2 pound dry chemical extinguisher, but the results are worth the difference in price. Halon works to extinguish fires by using a liquid that turns to gas when it is sprayed into a fire. The gas displaces oxygen to rob the fire of oxygen and cause it to go out. If you spray Halon into the air, it disappears almost as soon as it is sprayed, but is highly effective in closed areas." Chris

Hi Brandy, if I may make a suggestion, get yourself a dentist's pick. Then you can remove the terminal and wire completely from your old harness connector and swap in the wire/terminal assy from your new harness. The terminals have a little tang that if depressed with the pick will allow you to remove them from there respective connectors. I have done this many times. It takes some patience but its better than cutting and splicing. FWIW, Chris

Nice Truck Nate. My Z has tinted door glass and quarter glass. I like it in the Nebraska summer, lots of sunshine. Had a tinted "240Z" band at the top of the windshield but took it off due to the lettering peeling. My Xterra's rear doors and rear cargo glass are tinted as well. Makes it a little harder to see what goodies I just bought at Best Buy!! Chris
  17. Hey Bill, I would recommend a "Multi Purpose" one rated A,B and C. A=Trash, Wood, Paper B=Liquids and Gases C=Energized Electrical Equipment I would also suggest a reloadable one. If you use it or its charge becomes weak from lack of use, you can take it to a service dealer and have it recharged. Its usually cheaper to have them recharged than to buy a new replacement. Here's a good link to the vendor I buy mine from. http://www.kiddeus.com/Fire+Extinguisher+Catalog.shtml Chris
  18. Looked like about 8500 on the tach. Sounded sweet!! Thanks for the links. Chris

This is all I can find for you. http://www.goodson.com/instr/DHS-40.pdf Used to get them from NAPA or Carquest but can't find them listed online in any other catalog. Much luck, Chris
  21. Thanks Enrique, you're right on, tack cloths can either help or harm. I knew you'd chime in on this thread, you the Master!!! Chris
  22. I would wipe the car down with tack cloths myself, then put on your metal prep solution. Then tack the car again before you put primer on as well. The cleaner the surface the better the end result will be. I use PPG DX440 Ditz-O wax and grease remover. Put some on a rag and wipe the area you want to prep My .02 Chris

My 73's are on upside down, bought it that way, the hood doesnt rub, I'd like to flip them but I can just see the studs snapping off as soon as I attempt it. Someday I'll get brave and turn them around. Chris
