Yea, same thing even if its on lock or off, as long as the battery is connected, i just turn that switch on the right side of the console. So do you have any advice as to how i would fix it? thanks.

Hey guys, i am trying to get all of the electrical work done (while i wait for the pans to get welded) and i have big problems. When the car is on acc i turn the lights on, and the side lights and the two orange front ones go on and just stay on, the front headlights dont go on at all. Also, the left and right signal switch doesent seem to be working, i move it up or down but the signal lights dont do anything. (plus they are on, just not flashing). Any ideas? Thanks.

Sweet, i have one more question for anyone who has or knows about MSA's twice pipe system, it says "with header" but $150? that seems very cheap for a header and the rest of the system, does it actually come with a header? thanks.

Hey guys, i want to buy an exhaust system that has free flow but isnt too loud.....i hate rice muffler sounds....so will twice pipes sound anything like this? or should i be looking for somthing else? thanks.

I know, the yellow one goes to the battery but i am still learning with electrics, so i really dont know THAT much. I just thought that ,since the end of the wire has a metal end for plugging into somthing, their was somthing i just plug it into. The red one is plugged in just fine, well im just waiting for my 280z haynes manual, maybe that will help.

I see whats wrong, the YELLOW wire , the Power one with the fuse on it is not plugged into anything, its sort of close to the fuse box, but i cant seem to find what it attaches to, anyone know?

Hah, i know black is ground. Well, i plugged it in finally and it doesent want to work. I dont have any speaker wires connected, only red and yellow (power). And no response. Well, the sony radio had no response either before.....i really hope my electrical system isnt ****ed. Any Ideas?

Its actually a 78 Z, sorry but when i got it i knew nothing at all about them, and i didnt add that the P.O told me it may need a new one, i didnt see any replys that solved my problem.

Actually, i dont have information papers with it, my brother got it from a friend because he was getting a new one. Their are 11 wires with the pioneer plug, but only 6 in the original datsun wiring, so i need to firgure out which wires i dont need.

I need to cut plastic out, but that doesent matter cause my console is already cracked a bit near the ashtray, ill get a new one when i do an OEM restoration. Actually all the connections have been upgraded, cause the P.O had a stereo i think. I just want to know, what tool do i use to make clean cuts in the plastic? THANKS. P.S, I just went out to my car and connected the audio power cable into my new deck, and nothing at all happends, does the other plug need to be in also? i still need to change the plug over so it will fit into the pioneer.

Hey guys, my 280z (1978) needs like 10+ key turns to turn over, i cant hear the pump buzzing untill about 5 trys, then it still takes a couple, it pops, sputters then finally starts, idles rough and a little higher than normal and when i give it gas it shudders and sometimes dies. Do i need a new fuel pump? i looked in the fuel line when i replaced the fuel filter and i saw some stuff in it! what should i do? Thanks alot.
