14" tire sizes for Z cars
Oh yea, I forgot to mention that was only on the rear... He has the stock 225/60/R14's on the front. He says it sticks to the road like glue and the rear end just won't let go.. I'll believe him too.

Nissan RB26DETT would be an awsome swap (skyline GTR) Or, if you don't mind going to a different manufacturer, a Toyota 2JZ-GTE would be an awsome swap as well.

which one...SU vs FI ?
the stock EFI on those cars is incredibly flexible, to the point of being able to run any 6 cyl. basically when you do something that increases flow in the engine (cam, porting, etc) the AFM will read that simply as a change in air flow and adjust the injectors accordingly. the way it works is it reads the O2 sensor, the TPS position (since there is only 3) and the AFM position and adjusts the amount of fuel injected accordingly. if you have it at WOT it disregards the O2 sensor readings and only uses the AFM readings for fuel curve.

Wheels Suggestion for a 280z 1977?
Centerline has some nice wheels in their billet series that fit the Z cars nicely. http://www.centerlinewheels.com/ If you go that way you want 4.5" backspacing.

Trouble finding rims
Yes, I forgot about those. Any rim off a 4 lug mustang will work (early to mid 80's)

14" tire sizes for Z cars
I know a guy who was running 265/50/R14's on his celica GTS, which was on the stock 14x7 rims, although you will have some rubbing isses since the GTS has big flares...

14" tire sizes for Z cars
Hmm... alright, lots of sizes, but no brands. Cooper makes a great 205-245/60/HR14 tire, their GT radial. Falken, yokohama, and sumitomo make 225/60/HR14's too. If you're on a budget, LeMans makes a good 205/60/HR14, I'm running them on my celica GTS now and I love em. The rims off my celica will fit your cars (I think, it depends on the center bore) as well, and are 14x7".

Trouble finding rims
Well, you can get billet wheel spacers for them, but you gotta watch out. A lot of them won't take the power a Z can dish out, and a lot of tire places wont do any work on your car if you have em.

Stock rear Diff
Alright, coo.. (now I gotta see if a mk2 supra LSD will fit )

Trouble finding rims
FWD rims generally do not work on a RWD car. The FWD rims have a huge offset, 35mm positive or more. most RWD rims only go as high as 10mm positive. Actually it's more in the back spacing (distance from the hub to the inside lip of the rim), FWD has huge back spacing (5-6"+) while a car like the Z is at about 4.5" backspacing.

Stock rims
Alright, here is what I know: 14x5.5", 114.3x4 bolt pattern. What I need to know is if they are hub centric, and what is the center bore?

300ZX Seats to 240K
As long as the width between the runners is the same you can do it without too much trouble.

4/76 Road&Track-Z spanks Porsche & AlfieR
Hmm, was 91 octane all they had back then? They could easily have turned up the comp ratio on those cars... 9:1 would have easily gotten 10-15 more hp, and detonation wouldn't be a problem with 91 octane gas... hell, they could have run 9.5:1 and still had no problems...

Stock rear Diff
I'm pretty sure it's stock. So, since I know it's a 280Z 5 speed, it's got an R200? Did those come with LSD?

280z Efi
Alright, getting a 280Z with EFI tomorrow, and I'm looking for some info about the EFI system. I know it's got the same bosch EFI as my 83 celica, but I'm wondering if nissan used a different AFM and such. Any info would be great .
