is there a specal trick to getting off the rubber hose that goes from the hardline to the slave cylinder? i allready ripped it so now i have to replace it. but i cant get the top off because the bracket is bent and i cant turn the hose driving me crazy...:stupid:

sorry for jumping ahead is there anyway to test the relays w. out having known working ones?

so i went out to the car today and this is whats happening: so is there anything that would cause me to have to stick a wrench in the afm to get the fuel preasure up and then would let the car idle untill it was out of gas? but if i start playing with the throttle the car will die sooner.. very confused thanks alot for all your help sblake

you can buy the switches your talking about at autozone or almost any big auto store. (comes in colors too) the ricer kids like to have some fake "nos" so show off

so i ran the car mostly out o gas so taking off the hose from the fuel tank would be less messy, and now the fuel pump wont pump at all. i cant get the pressure to go over 10psi. is there something to do to prime it or does that mean i need a new fuel pump?

yes it goes down to about 10-15 psi

i got a fuel pressure gauge and put it on, and started her up. i have found that if i stick a wrench up the afm to hold the flap open untill the preasure gets to ~36 psi the car starts right up and will idle for a while, ~2 min, while it is idling i can rev the car up and everything, but after a little while it starts to bog down and smoke comes from down by the headers... im going to fill the tank all the way up and see if that helps the pump and if noti guess i will replace the fuel pump and see where that puts me... is this a good course of action? other things to try?

went and checked it organ, their right... that would be a funny way to fix the car... anyways does anyone in IL know of a shop that can clean injectors? i think they are working fine, i did the test w. the long screwdriver and they clicked ok.. anything else i should try? p.s. the car has ben sitting for about a year and the lines going into the injectors were completly mealted, like they were disolving in my hands when i got them off

thanks for the comments all, the 1st plan for her is getting her running (see my thread in Help me) after that im going to remove all the rust and remove the bumpers/add an air dam. this is going to be my daily driver so nothing too crazy
