  1. Hmm... I was looking for someone to do a pretty full work up on the car. Fix, repair, possibly replace any sheetmetal needed for rust repair etc.
  2. Does anyone have a recommendation to a good bodywork shop in Northern California's Bay Area? I figure while the motor is out and being rebuilt I might as well have the rest of the car done right too. Thanks!
  3. Too far for me, about 500 miles... If I was closer I would.
  4. Wow up 195% over the past 10 years! !

For the rust, try picking up Naval Jelly. It'll eat off the rust and give you a clean surface to work with. All you have to do after using Naval Jelly is give it a cleaning with a Wax and Grease remover, and some soap. Dry it off and shoot your primer. Worked great on my buddies 68 Stang. Good luck!
  8. The radiator will fit all 240Zs correct? I have a 71 240Z MT. I don't know if it makes a diffrence or not being auto or manual. Thanks. -Ben
  9. Any pictures of the meet?
  10. I am so lost, when is the actual meet? Who is going and what is planned... I got lost with all the talk of these different deals going on...
  11. I wish I could help you out with the SUs so you could go, all I can do is rebuild carbs. I can't tune em for poo, not because I can't or don't want to, but because I don't have time to learn.
  12. Personally, I would prefer to have a smaller meet rather than a big festival. More so 10 - 20 cars, and a nice drive, and maybe some dinner. Be able to hang out and talk with people more personally than look there is thousands of people and thousands of cars, let's walk around aimlessly and see what is going on.
  13. Boo the beach! Damn beaches... All the hot girls... I think we should go somewhere where there is a nice drive. My friend just got his SC installed in his swapped civic and my car is up and running. So let's do it!
  14. How about next weekend? We attempt to have another one out at Contra Loma, there is places to BBQ, swim, fish, and LOTS of shade. After that we could go out on a drive to somewhere. I have no ideas for that.

Ok then, does anyone know where I can pick up more performance orientated parts for the 240Z? I am still a little new, and will be looking to be picking up a header in a couple of weeks, and then will be sending my motor off to Rebello, while the motor is at Rebello I will be doing a complete rust removal and taking care of any dings and also restoring the interior.

There is already a swaybar mounted but the one used before was made of cheap metal and broke and the previous owner tried to have it welded back together and it broke again, but I don't have to worry about drilling any holes. They are already all there. :classic:

GO MSA! Ordered their front and rear sway bar kit to replace my broken one, and a twice pipes exhaust system. Shipped this last friday, got here today. I highly recommend them. :beard: :classic:
  18. Ben's Mechanic here, Ben won't be able to make it but I'll be there with his little brother around noonish myself. :classic: See you guys there.

Oh wow, 3.0L Rebello. I am shooting for a 2.7L basic motor, 3.0 is gotta be nice in the torque department. How fast is it? What color is the paint going to be?
  20. I'll see you guys there, it was depressing that the meet today was such a failure, oh well it happens. It was extremely short notice and I was expecting anything big, even with the cross board posting. The 2 who showed, it was good to meet you. See you next weekend. -Chris (Ben's Mechanic)
  21. I am looking for an aftermarket gauge, something a little more reliable than stock. This is for fuel gauge so I want something I can trust on the track.
  22. Definetely does, I haven't gotten around to looking deeper into it, and I couldn't find anything online, and my tester is out. Thank you much. Any one else done some testing on their sender ohmage?
  23. What is the ohmage for the fuel sender on a 71 240Z, I would like to know so I can purchase the proper fuel gauge. 0 - 90 Ohms, 8 - 12 Ohms? etc. Thank you.
  24. I hope it doesn't rain at all, it'd be nice to have a clear sunny day, even if it does rain, I'll be there for a bit, just to hang out.
