  1. Torana flares on a 240K? Torana flares only look good on toranas.
  2. He's also selling a PS30 Z432 cheap needs a little work, only 1 million Yen. ($13,102.70 AUD) http://72.14.203.132/translate_c?hl=en-GB&u=http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k116949719&rurl=translate.google.com&usg=ALkJrhhhfpxoAzZGZRBF0nFRXWQvus_9CA
  3. My sedan was $700 licenced and running.
  4. I think when/if ever I have any money to thow at my cars I'll just get a set from Japan.
  5. Yes. Pull the head off and replace the gasket. Engine wont turn over if the cylinder is full of water.
  6. The post isn't that old... We're not that strict on such things around here. Maybe if the post was 6 months old Stephen would tell you off, but 1 month is ok. Wonder if Eli ever worked out what was hissing?
  7. The only accurate way to check the timing is with a timing light. They are inexpensive and worth every penny when it comes to tuning old cars like these.
  8. I thought the works cars had cross flow heads? I guess the original engine was long gone when Kevin found the car?
  9. The Holden Commodore and the Holden Monaro is/was sold as the Pontiac G8 & Pontiac GTO in the USA. In Europe the Commodore is called the Vauxhall VRX8. Yet they are all made in Australia by Holden. Miata, Infini, Lexus, Subaru. When's the Fuji Heavy Industries heritage museum opening? The manufacturers only have themselves to blame for the confusion. They should have been Nissan from the get-go, instead of Datsun. Now Datsun is synonymous with rusty old bombs from the 70's to the common masses. As least down under they are. I don't get what a modified S30 with a 90's skyline engine is doing in a Heritage museum though.
  10. Fix the overspray on the spare wheel well
  11. US got the soft ones, rest of the world got the firm ones. That would be my guess.
  12. The way I see it, its just one member talking about a product that's available. Whether the maker of the product is a sponsor of this site or not is not relevant. Not letting members discuss products unless the products creator is a paid sponsor seems a bit draconian. Maybe we should we not talk about factory Nissan parts anymore, since Nissan isn't a site sponsor? Japanese Nostalgic Car magazine have a syndicated thread here, but don't appear to be a sponsor. Do you suggest Nissan Sport magazine should complain and get that syndication removed? Should Rebello have a whinge everytime a member recommend Sunbelt? Should MSA spit the dummy when someone mentions Too Intense Restoration? Will is a supporting member, by the way.
  13. Here's one I just remembered. A guy was selling some 280ZX mags on ebay as stock 240/260Z mags. I sent him a message telling him they were actually 280ZX mags (14" cross stylemags), to which he replied something along the lines of: "No, they are definitely 240/260 mags, the 280ZX is such a big car these mags would look stupid on such a big car."
  14. Was in a carpark walking past a 260Z 2+2 and heard a kid asking his mom if it was an English car.
  15. Yeah, I noticed that was wrong when I read it.
  16. Maybe you could borrow a VCR from a friend or neighbor instead?
  17. Check your oil too if you haven't already. Sometimes when the head gasket goes, you end up with water in the oil.
  18. Now you know why L28 pistons don't fit a L24 Block. L24 & L28 pin height is the same: 38.1mm
  19. Thats good to hear. It would be pretty difficult to make parts based off photos and measurements.
