  1. Can anyone in Adelaide help Chris out?
  2. I saw a 240K coupe at Bunnings last weekend. Though about hanging around and waiting for the owner to come back, so I could talk him into selling it to me, but I have nowhere to put it. That one and one I saw broken down on the side of the road 6 years ago are the only 2 seater 240K's i've seen on the road over here (and mine of course).
  3. K's make Z's look common. I thought Alfa's old K went overseas.
  4. Hey, everyone add it to your watch list. Make him think he's actually going to sell it
  5. Very, if you have no idea about such things. If you have alot of free time and know how to swing a spanner, have a crack at it, if not paying someone else to do it will be easier and possibly faster, if you can find a shop that will work on it, instead of leaving it in the corner because they are too busy with smash repair jobs. Definitely not cheap though, either way.
  6. Kent, you mean the mesh in the grill, not the whole grill right. Yeah it does look a bit beige. Car must have been repainted in the 80's. Beige went out of fashion real quick. Early 80's when 70's brown cars were still around.
  7. Somebody want to ask him if the price is a typo for a laugh?
  8. Try this. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii288/lidm/wiringdiagram.gif
  9. Man made? I think it would sound like that other man made engine noise: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4210407.stm In other electric car news: This should be going into production (ok, its a hybrid) http://blog.wired.com/cars/2009/01/a-convertible-i.html I read that Lotus (who build the chassis for the Tesla) may be venturing into the electric car market. Is the Market big enough for 2 Teslas?
  10. They weren't saying it was a 240Z wheel were they
  11. Fixable. Just depends if you want to bother or not. If you can weld, or have a friend that can, go for it. If you are paying a body shop to fix it, it may not be worth the money. Or you could always bog it up, after cutting the rust out/ treating it rust eater. How much is the car?
  12. Dunno about over there, but over here scrap metal people will come to your house and pay you money to take the shell away, whether it's on wheels or not. They usually have a truck with a crane on it to pick it up, so wheels don't matter. You don't have any scrap metal people over there that will take it? Saves you the effort of dumping it somewhere.
  13. What condition are the doglegs in? Mine are rusted out. Looking for some replacement metal.
  14. It's ok, but I'll hit it with the paint stripper to remove the plastice wood grain, and leave the aluminium. You can pull the pannel off completely and theres a black plastic dash underneath. Not sure what it would look like. I have a stripped one somewhere. Might take some pics.
  15. I saw that video a couple of days ago, when browsing random 240K youtube videos. Not much of a fan of woodgrain dashes.
  16. I think any new bushes, rubber or poly would feel alot better than 30year old worn out one rubber ones. You can get poly bushes in black now too, so you can keep that original rubber look, if that's a concern to you.
  17. I hope they introduce a rule about signature pictures. They are already out of control. 2 lines of post, and a massive sig pic puts me right off.
  18. Hi Tony. You should come along to one of the WA Z Register meetings. www.wazregister.com In conjunction with the Triumph club we have track days and motokhana events. Here's some pictures and video from the last one. http://wazregister.com/index.php?title=Murdoch_11_2008
  19. Apart from being ugly, what else do you want to know?
  20. Track car anyone? minus motor and gearbox. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190277202184
  21. Yep they should be on a car in a museum. They would be well past their safe usage date. They were standard on the Z432, but also available as an option on the Fairlady Z. So calling them Z432 mags isn't quite correct, since they are not only for the Z432.
  22. Spotted a CSP311 Silvia for sale on craigslist. Located in Las Vegas. Cars was bought new in Japan in 1965, then sent to the USA in 1970, to the owners son. It was then bought by the current owners father in 1971, who lived across the street. Looks to be in good condition, apart from being painted the wrong colour. It's car number 78. CSP311-70078. It's expensive nearly $40,000, but its one of four or five in North America that I'm aware of.
