  1. I'm still not convinced that all that weight in front of the axle line is a good thing. The engine that was replaced sat mostly above and behind the axle line. I wonder what the weight distribution is now. How's it handle?
  2. They weren't just 432 items. They were available as an option on any JDM Fairlady Z, and export 240Z's sold in Portugal. Rare, and long past its safety use by date too.
  3. apparently it just prys off
  4. Just stick an after-market pod filter on the front of the intake pipe.
  5. My K has a momo with a flat bottom. doesn't really suit the car at all. It will be replaced with something more classic looking, like a Nardi.
  6. Of course, goes without saying. Jmead, How is all that weight in front of the front axle line going to affect the handling? How heavy are those batteries?
  7. Well I guess its about time I got a full set for my car. So you can tell him a third order for parts will be coming his way if he pulls his finger out and decides to knock up some more sets.
  8. So thats about AU$15,000. Seats and steering wheel are too modern. 80's style seats, and 90's style wheel. Hmmm, next.
  9. So whats the story with this? Looks like it was just a photoshoot based on the Wangan Midnight Manga/Anime. I wouldnt be dumping my Z ontop of a tarago just for a photo shoot. What if it fell off
  10. Hi Jmead Heres Seths engine mount page : http://seth.drivexc.com/240Z/Album11/motor_mount.html I guess if I were in your shoes, I'd have rebuilt the early vin Z's engine and sold the car, since people over there will pay more for an early Z, then started afresh with a cheaper z. But then again, better the devil you know I guess. I like the idea of an electric car. I've though that a Datsun 1000 or 1200 would be a great candidate. Maybe thats what I should do to the 240z I have with a seized motor that's been sitting beside the house for a few years.
  11. I commend this guy for wanting to save the environment, but I wish he could have chosen a modern econo-box small car instead of an early 240Z Looks to be an early 240Z with the 240Z side emblems, rear hatch vents, original hubcaps, Nissan 2400 OHC valve cover on what was probably the original matching numbers engine (now sold off for parts). Apart from the sunroof it appears to be in better than average condition. Anybody want to estimate what it would have been worth, before it was made environmentally friendly. http://ampeater.wordpress.com/page/2/
  12. those are two ugly cars.
  13. It would probably look a little something like this: http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2864721660088150456QCGdMz
  14. Read the link Derek posted. it has all the info on toyota calipers. But basically: If your 93 toyota had vented discs, its not a straight swap, you will need to get vented discs. There were some old toyots that had solid discs and the calipers from those were a straight swap onto the s30 with no need to change the disc.
  15. No, its fate. :classic: What sort of condition was it in, compared to when you sold it? How long ago was that?
  16. What's odd about it? Thats were all the after market kits I've seen put them, and later thats where Nissan put it too.
  17. Hi Chris. I think you'll find your engine displacement is closer to 2599 cc.
