  1. The SS's are sought after, so i'm not surprised. They're fairly rare aren't they?
  2. ??????? they made it even uglier??????????:stupid:
  3. Hey Curtis, PM me your email address and I'll pass it on to him. or you could try sending him a PM as he's a member here too. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/z/profile.php?z-profile=Gav240z some inspiration:
  4. In "other" countries when you think about the racing history of the S30, its racing pedigree in the US doesn't really come to mind. I guess you have to be American to have that point of view.
  5. What about the VG30ET from the 300zx Z31. They are lighter than the L28ET and easy to find in the US and can be pushed to 400hp on stock internals.
  6. And the 2+2 referrers to the seating capacity 2 in the front and 2 in the back.
  7. Theres a large version of that here: http://www.classiczcars.com/images/wallpaper/Orange_Z_1280x1024.jpg
  8. What did you set the timing to? How many degrees
  9. They're the ZG Flares that Gavin from viczcar.com has for sale. He wants $200 plus shipping. He's in Victoria, and he still has them for sale.
  10. Yeah I think that one was on last week with no photos, so it didn't sell. Ad sounds the same. What a difference photos make, even blurry ones.
  11. These aren't proper enough? <img src="http://www.viczcar.com/forums/files/100_1451_738.jpg"/>
  12. Worst case scenario: you've dropped a tooth off the pinion or crown wheel. Happened to me in a Mazda 323 4WD turbo. There was a clicking sound that was Dependant on car speed, not engine rpm, so definately drive line related. Thought it was a CV joint. Replaced a drive shaft - noise still there. Was reasonably annoyed (to put it mildly) so dumped the clutch and ...... crunch, crunch, crunch..... stripped more teeth of both the crown (groups of teeth in about 4 places) and pinion (only had half the teeth left). Do what Beandip says. Also turn the car off, stick a brick under one wheel to stop it from turning, and get someone to put a bit of resistance on the other wheel or put the e brake on slightly (not too much, you still want it to turn), and (with car out of gear) turn the drive shaft , to rotate the wheel, and feel / listen if the shaft or wheel appear to skip. It's might not be that serious, but if you have the back end up, may as well check for it. Another car I had was making all sorts of weird noise from a worn out uni joint in the drive shaft. Hope its not as serious as a broken diff.
  13. I wonder what the "VELISIDE REAR WING AND OTHER BODY KIT" looks like. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300115286539 He's dropped the starting price from $6990 to $5999 (which is still 2990 more than he paid for the car). And the Buy It Now price: has gone from $10,000 to $7,999.
  14. Should have kept driving it until it wouldn't go anymore, then called a honda wrecker to come and get it and pay you for it. (after removing any useful parts, like electric fuel pumps, wiper motors). Thats what I did with my honda when it finally died.
  15. Nope I dont think there is, you'ld have to paint them, but I dont think it would last long before getting scratched off trying to find the keyhole in the dark. Another option would be to delete the locks completely, weld up the holes, and paint over. Put central locking connected to an alarm to lock/unlock the car. Leave the hatch lock though, incase you ever need to get into the car if the battery goes flat, or something else goes wrong.
  16. Recently - well 2 to 3 years ago the BBC released some more of the HHG2TG radio plays. Some more of what happened after the part that was in the TV series. All I can remember from it was the cricket match.
  17. Yeah the 240K GT came in both 2 and 4 doors. Though they were badged as GL's in Australia (except for the first lot of Coupes in '73). Yep, Center console is different, now that you mention it, but both mine have a lid on the storage compartment.
  18. Auction ended Zero bids. Surprise, surprise.
  19. THats supposed to be "And the sedan weighs less than the 2 door." (silly 5 minute editing rule)
  20. well, one is a 74 and the sedan is a 77, so there are styling differences. For example the dashboard is different with regards to the air vents, glovebox, crashpad, but it looks like the gauge panel will interchange. but don't take my word for it - mounting screw holes etc might have changed over the years. Steering wheel is the same for Aussie cars (JDM and europe, the steering wheels changed). The diff is the same, probably the whole rear suspension is the same, but might not be. (240z and 260z 2+2 have slightly different suspension making a direct swap not possible, unless you start replacing parts, so K might be the same). And the weighs less than the 2 door.
  21. Thats exactly like the green one I took photos of in a car park once.
  22. Blog: an implement, usually made out of wood, or any old hefty piece of branch thats fallen off a tree, such as a ghost gum, whose purpose is to be use to bash a cane toad. colloquialism derived from bashing-log shortened to blog, for saying quickly. Example: "Quick, pass me the blog Shirl, Did you see the size of that F%#@*% cane toad!!" ROFL
  23. If it wasn't so cold and dark outside I'd go out an measure the windows for you. But it is, so I wont. Here's a pic that will have to do for now.
  24. Noobie ebayers get caught up in the bidding experience. just one bid more might win it....nope, ok one more bid..... Either that ,or he put a stupid high bid in never expecting anyone to bid it up that high.
