  1. Most likely becaus its a dealer option (ie installed after the car was delivered to the country it was sold in), and it was up to the dealer to source a supplier and fitter of vinyl roof coverings. I guess the differences are just because you are in the UK ad they did vinly roofs a little differently to the USA. If you look at the one thats on Ebay Australia its different again. Heres a pic:
  2. Yeah thats a vinyl roof. Otherwise is wouldnt have the chrome strip extending from where the drip gutter ends above the side quater window to the rear of the guard.
  3. The picture is obviuosly and unmistakably a Z to me. No text needed. But then again, some people cant tell the difference between a 2 seater and a 2+2 without looking in the back to see if theres a seat there.
  4. Went shopping on the weekend for a Kyosho Skyline GT-R KPGC110 1:18 scale, but they only had a Silver one, and it looked like it had defect in the paint, so I didn't get it. I was after a white one, and was going to get them to order it, but they said they didnt make one :stupid: and I couldn't be bothered argueing with them. Picked up some 1:24 plastic kits instead. C10 GT-R, Cherry X-1-R, toyota 2000GT (They also had the Fuji 24 hour race winner version). The C110 GT 4 door I already had, but thought i'd add a pic anyway. They had another one of them if anyone wants one, let me know.
  5. Since I doubt you would inspect these cars and ship them out of the goodness of your heart, I believe that you would charge some sort of fee for this service correct? Which makes you a business. This is the General Discussion Thead. Let me point you towards the Rules of this section: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/announcement.php?f=114 "Commercial postings are prohibited on this site" Though it does specifically say "sell merchandise" I believe Mike means Goods and Services. In which case you should discuss the club sponsorship program with Mike. "A special forum may be created for any Vendor that wishes to participate in the club sponsorship program". You can Advetise your car locating and transporting services there.
  6. Nissan had a bit of a theme going on in the 70's The cherry had a bit of C110 style too. Check out the shape of the side rear windows.
  7. Just Keep it! It looks in pretty good condition. It would be really hard to find another one.
  8. Jeez Alfa, thought you were selling your car when i read the subject line! It's a GT-X so i guess thats why it has electric windows.
  9. All you need to do is create a login and start correcting the mistakes. If you have a look at the page history: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nissan_Skyline&action=history you can see how the page was built up over time, and see the old versions and the usernames of the people that edited them.
  10. Hate to rain on your parade, but the e88 also came out in a small valve version. I think the only way to tell them apart is to remove the head and look at the valves. http://www.geocities.com/zgarage2001/heads.html
  11. Somone should buy it and have some decent moulds made so a better quality F/G reproduction can be made, so the rest of us can afford to buy one. Might buy a lotto ticket tomorrow.
  12. The sad story is, that most wreckers can get a quick buck for the scrap metal value of the car, rather than having it take up space in their yard, and not making any money off it, as the demand for parts isnt that great. They could replace it with a wreck thats going to generate more income. I know a guy that saw 2 of them crushed at a scrap metal yard.
  13. Looks good. You really cant tell how bad the rust is from a couple of photos. It has rust in the usual places, but that may be the only places it has rust. You wont know untill you strip the car. Just because there is a little rust doesnt mean its all rusty. My 240z had rust in the rear doglegs, and front of the sills too, but has the most solid rust free floors that you could hope for. Its been repainted though, so that can hide alot of the problems. You'd really want to inspect it in person for that much money, or at least get the owner to send you photos of the floors from inside and out and take a chance.
  14. No time to work on it. Decided to pull it apart for a quick restoration. Got a fulltime job, and a girlfriend, 6 months after tearing it apart, and 3 years later, its still in a million pieces.
  15. Its fixable, just depends on whether you want to spend the money or not. 26th's #27 was alot worse than that.
  16. I'm surprised there hasnt been a rap version of the US anthem yet. Or maybe there was and it didnt make the news down under, like that chick that was singing the US national anthem at a ice hocky game (I think it was), and forgot the words. Is it true that the US nation anthem has to be sung/played before every concert or sports event? I remember that an irish singer in the 80's or 90's didnt want it sung before her concert and caused some sort of commotion about it.
  17. There are 2 original 2000GT convertables, so yes i suppose they are rare. They were made for the bond movie You Only Live Twice. One is displayed at Toyota's museum while the other is in a private collection.

  19. Can you hum a few bars? Seems like your not the only one looking for that song: http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:f4w4eC0qqbIJ:www.kissthisguy.com/discuss/viewtopic.php%3Fp%3D8963%26sid%3D7ecdb0df1de87e6a2474e9af01be112f+%22She%27s+my+woman+and+I%22+ain%27t+gonna+let+her+go+song&hl=en&gl=au&ct=clnk&cd=1 Is it for a radio competiton or something? What do you win? I searched google, but didn't come up with a definitive answer. Just stuff form 60's-70's
  20. Between 2 and 6 grand i'd say. Need more details, photos to be more specific.
  21. Did you get the chassis number off it? would like to add it to the register of 240/260's
  22. When did the S30 get hood vents? I thought it was late 76 or early 77? which would explain why that car doesnt have them. Here in Australia most 260's dont have vents. (note: we got the 260z from 74 to 77, so a 77 260z in Aus is pretty much a the same as a 280z in the US, but with the more powerfull L26 than the US L26, instead of the fi L28. I think only the 76 and 77 had vents).
