  1. Since this is the other Datsuns area. Here's a CSP311 Silvia thats currently on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4632167334 Car number 396 Started at $8500 currently $10,090 - reserve not met. Ended: Reserve not met. no sale.
  2. Heres the original discussion about the car: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20405 and heres the car the first time it went on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4612607836&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 Its got to be at least a 2 or 3 owner car now as its changes hands 1 or 2 times.
  3. A new 350Z in Australia is AU$59,990. Thats for the touring model, which is the lowest spec 350Z available for sale in Austrailia. We dont get the 2 cheapo low spec base models offered in the USA.
  4. Probalby because you dont see them when the filters are on, i'd guess.
  5. It's not #1, its just the only car painted that colour from the factory in 1970, as far as I can tell from quickly reading the description.
  6. What part of Australia are you in? There are a few local Z sites I could point you towards.
  7. You dont need a cure, you need a wife that doesnt mind how many cars you own.
  8. Here's your prize, a link to some high quality pictures of nissan concept sketches, concept cars and production cars. http://www.nissannews.com/multimedia/nd_50_anni.shtml
  9. Mystery car time again. Found a picture of this car on a website. Anybody seen it before? Comments, opinions, etc...
  10. Reminds me of the ebay.com.au auction in which someone was selling a set of these that had been painted red, and the seller swore black and blue that they were standard on the 240z, even though people had sent him messages that they were from a 280zx. He even went as far to say that if you had seen a 280zx these wheels would look too small on in it as its a big car:stupid: Anybody else think the Iron Cross wheels design was inspired by the wheels on the 216X concept car?
  11. Not sure. They are genuine nissan mirrors, and it also has a Fairlady grill. Was like that when the owner got it, (but he just sold it a month ago). Possibly added by a previous owner, maybe bought and added through Datsun/Nissan. I guess we will never know. I'll ask the guy that just sold it if he knows anymore about it.
  12. That statement is a bit ambiguous in the context of the question. Let me clarify. No, all models did not have the front indicators that shamus11 is referring to. Regarding Australian 240z's. They did not have the rear side markers, or the side marker type indicators. The 240z guards didnt even have the cutout for the side indicators. They had the indicators with clear lenses in the lower panel under the headlight bucket. Some time in 73 euro style indicators mounted to the bumpers were added Then with the 260Z (1974) the side marker type indicators were added. Sound like your car has its original guards shamus11 No you dont have to have them (No legal requirement for them for your year of 240z). Lots of 240z's that have been "restored" have used guards from 260z's which have the side indicators, or maybe you've looked at alot of pictures of US cars or late 73 cars. No Australian 240's or 260'z had the rear marker either. No legal requirement for that either. What year is your car? The first car is an early 240z, then theres a 260z 2+2, 3rd car is #803, green is a 73 (with euro style bumper indicators). Cant recall what the red car was.
  13. heres a link for you http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NISSAN-240Z-260Z-280ZX-GAZELLE-FRONT-GAS-CARTRIDGES_W0QQitemZ4631858587QQcategoryZ32063QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  14. Is that a brake bias adjuster? (2nd photo)
  15. Theres a guy on ebay selling cheap shocks. AC Delco brand , had front 240Z shocks for $59 at the moment. Try searching ebay to find his member id and ask him if he can get rear shocks.
  16. Heres another 240K Sedan on ebay. 3 owner car. Starting at .99 cents. Reserve is $1300. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/1976-DATSUN-240K-SEPT-REGO_W0QQitemZ4631849812QQcategoryZ102220QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Aparently he "upgraded" to a VK commodore. Strange to call a technically inferior car an upgrade (Live axle rear, pushrod OHV engine, cast iron head).
  17. Yeah, thought he was the guy in Malaysia. Scarce doesnt always mean its worth something.
  18. That dude should just get picture of Jesus airbrushed onto the bonet, and keep the car. Probalby should replace the flames while hes at it, with something a little more heavenly. Like clouds or something. Obviously hasnt heard the Ministry song "Jesus built my hotrod". Cant be much of a Ministry fan.
  19. I would say its worth less than it would cost to have it shipped to the USA. L20A's and 05L heads are nothing special.
  20. There was one on ebay (in melbourne) for AU$500. it never sold.
