How about fitting a rear spoiler. That will cover all the holes, and you can mount the emblems on the spoiler. That nismo badge is too modern. The earlier nismo badge would be better, but still too modern.

The expansion tank catches vapours, and maybe fuel if the tank is really full. Say you filled the tank full on a cool night, and the next day the temperature ges to 40 degrees centigrade, as it can do in a summers day in australia. As the fuels expands, it has to go somwhere, as does the air in the tank too. the 240z just dumps the extra fuel out through the overlow pipe behind the back wheel, not very enviromentally friendly, and not too safe I suppose either. The 260z had the expansion tank. when thats full, then I guess there is an overflow pipe too. Dont know that the 280z turbo tank had. I guess you could use the interal expansion tank as a surge tank, as long as it never leaked, but then you wouldnt have an expansion tank.

Picked up a copy of GT 4 "prologue" form a second hand shop (still waiting for my copy of GT4 to arrive from ebay). In Arcade mode, the first car you can drive is the Fairlady 240ZG. Gave it a spin around the New York track. Also was in Timezone in Northbridge (Perth WA) and they had a nex game in. Maximium Tune 2, a follow on form the midnight series of games (wangan midnight) that feature the blue 240z. Anyway, the demo video that's displayed while the game's not being played features the blue 240z, close ups and drifting. Very cool to see it featured.

They would have to be very thin spacers, like 0mm to retain the correct offset.

I guess its like comparing a porsche 911 to a 924. One is a sports car, the other is a sporty car. If you dont mind the way the 280zx looks then get one, The 2 seaters look ok, but i prefer the S30 series. -
What 26th-Z said. They are 280zx concept art. The same sketches appear in the 280ZX book that nissan released when the 280zx was released. (though not in colour as they are here). The 1/5 and full scale clay models are interesting to look at too. One looks more like the S30 series, and the other looks more like the 300zx. and some are just too weird -
We only got driver side door mirrors as far as i'm aware. Can you rotate the mirror 180 degrees and stick it on the other side?

Doesn't the bank have some say in what sort of car you buy? Meaning you just cant take the cash and build a project car with it. If you default on the load, the bank cant do much with a 2+2 shell and a bunch of engine parts. $15K could buy you a nice turbo skyline or Z32

My old 240z (which i sold in 1991) had the exact same antenna key.

Yeah you are confused, no one is advising that you should replace the struts to give the back end a lift, simply stating (if somewhat sarcastically) that if you put 260Z 2+2 struts in a 240, then thats what will happen.
