  1. Might be cheaper to get them from Japan Gav, well shipping cost at least. Ben's got a 2 door 510, and on of the WAZcars members has a 2 seater 280zx. You might be able to find some in Australia if you look hard enough.
  2. I'm guessing its something to do with the rear spindle pins.
  3. Like there are any left to sell in Australia and NZ anyway? I wonder how many are left? Unlike the 240z the 240K coupe probably got sent off to the wreckers or the crusher towards the end of its life, instead of (like the 240z) being seen as something to restore, and saved by someone who intended to restore it.
  4. If you dont weld them up you have seriously compromised the stuctural integrity of the car. Do the shock mounts join up to the wheel arches? If so the wheel arches give the car alot of strength in that area, and now the edge of the wheel arch are gone there is no strenght there. They are just free floating. Might look nice, but you woulnt want to do any serious driving in that thing. Very illegal also. You really should weld the outer skin to the wheel arch.
  5. Hey Tommo. Hope to see your car at the next WA Z register meeting. (or do you not drive it on the road?).
  6. Nice!! You gonna go with the flares?
  7. In the TV Ad he has a goggomobile, but it's not the Dart. I believe the Dart was an autralian modified version of the goggomobile. which i think were just a sleeker replacement fibreglass body for the original goggomobile FG body. The one at the Freo museum is "The Dart" . Not the one from the TV Ad.
  8. Anybody notice the 240K for sale on OZDAT for $10,000.
  9. I've seen a Toyota S800. They have one at the Fremantle Motor Museum, in Fremantle (strangely enough) WA. They also have a goggomobile (yes the Dart). http://www.fremantlemotormuseum.net/
  10. I think Alan knows what he means. Honda S800 anyway
  11. Thats quite an improvement to the neon. Actually thats pretty dangerous, if the car was in an accident, it would hit front seats with a couple of tons of force. If you are in the habit of having a box of tissues on your back shelf, in an accident it's like having a house brick smack you on the back of the head.
  12. Hi Tom Craig Here. The K looked to be in good condition, nice and shiny white paint, no apparent rust (but the sun had gone down, and I only had a quick look). But none the less it looked well looked after. I'd guess the driver was about 40 or more. It was on wanneroo road heading north, from warwick road Think it had waneroo lic plates. it kept going north past ocean reef road, when I turned off. Yeah, you dont see many K's out on the road. I havent seen a coupe in about 3 or more years. That was in tha same spot I saw this one actually (wanneroo road between beach and warwick road) It was a metallic blue coupe up on the pavement. Looked like it had broken down or run out of petrol. I wanted to leave a note on the window offering to buy it, but was flat broke at the time. Is that how you got your car? tailed it till it stopped an bought it off the owner? - Craig.
  13. The bullet roadster dont use the miata frame. They make their own. Check out their website.
  14. The Bullet Cars aren't 5 liter. They use the 1UZ Toyota V8, which is either 4 or 4.5 liters They look like miatas, and use the outer body pannels, but the resembelance is only skin deep. They are fully engineered chassis, not just an engine swap.
  15. OK then, No the 260Z 2+2 never came out with fuel injection in any country market. It either had twin SU carbies, or in some markets a single down draft carbie. The only 2+2's that had injection were the Fairlady Z 2+2, and the 280Z 2+2.
  16. If you are thinking of bidding, maybe contact the seller and voice your concerns to the guy. He does have alot of positive feedback, and some negative. I was reading the ozdat post a couple of days before all his stuff showed up on ebay, and thought everyone should know about it.
  17. If you are thinking about buying some of the datsun parts currently listed on ebay you should read this first, then make up your own mind if you want to bid. http://www.ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3314
  18. In Australia it is law that you have to vote. If you dont vote, you get a fine. And they hold the elections on the weekend We vote by marking numbers on pieces of paper that are put into boxes, which are then transported to a counting center, where people count the votes. I'd rather stay home and vote via the internet. How will it affect us? Sounds like Johnie Howard will still be kissing George W.'s a$$. Maintaining the status quo.
  19. Thread Hijack warning... Speaking of 240K's in Western Australia. I saw a nice one on the road on sunday. Saw it go past while waiting to get out on the main road, caught up to it near some traffic lights. Cruised next to it for a little while. 2 white skylines side by side, one C110, one R31 GTS-X. Had to leave it behind though, the older guy driving it seemed intent on doing a few K's less than the speed limit. Which reminds me of another story, completely unrelated.... my dad was out in his old beige L300, got to a roundabout, and at the other 2 entries to the roundabout were 2 other beige L300's. They all looked at each-other and couldnt quite believe it. Ok, you can have your thread back now.
  20. Ask the seller a question before the auction ends, so you can get his email address. Then after the auction ends, send him a message along the lines of " i see you didnt sell the tail lights, i'll give you X amount for them".
  21. Isnt there some sort of Z gathering in NSW in Aprl 2005? Just after some more information if anyone knows anything about it, speak now.....
  22. 240K Tail Lights on Oz ebay. Currently AU $100.00 0 bids. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1256&item=7931065133&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW Thought you K guys might be interested.
  23. :stupid: Of course they wont fit. Neither will Commodore struts, 280ZX struts, Hilux struts, Hummer struts, Falcon struts, Ferrari struts............... Take them off the guys hands for free, and sell them on ozdat.com or in the local free press and buy some parts that will fit your Z. Theres heaps of info in the forums about front disc and brake caliper swaps, all you have to do is search.
