  1. They are for the tool compartments covers, to hide the jack and other tools that came with the car.

  3. You should hide all the bits you want to keep up in teh roof of the house/garage. She'll never find them there.
  4. You should fill out where you are from in your profile. I'm guessing you are from Australia, or New Zealand, as there dont seem to be may old 240K's left anywhere else in the world. (maybe a few in europe and Japan).
  5. Yeah it true. They are not really warrenties as such, but manufacturer recalls to fix faults that have developed with the cars. We have these laws in Australia. For Example the VH commodore has a design flaw with the seat mountings. The mounting hole for the front drivers side seat usually develops a crack in the metal radiating out from the hole due to poor design and not enough reinforcing in the area. (from the back hole i believe, from memory). Holden issued a Recall warning, that was most likely published in a national newspaper for one day. If you were lucky enough to see it and had one of the cars you could take it to a holden dealer and get it fixed. Even if you are not the original owner. But heres the catch: They say that the allocated time to fix the fault is (for example) 2 hours. Then thay take 4 hours to fix it and charge you the extra 2 hours at some obscene amout per hour. I guess the trick around that it to go back to the dealer when they have finished, jump in your car (they usually leave the keys in the ignition) and drive off without going in to the service desk where they will hit you up for the extra.
  6. If you aren't going to mod the engine, you may as well save some bucks and put in RB25DET. They are both are supposed to be around the 208kW in stock form arent they?. The RB26DETT has stronger internals for modding and will be more durable when you start modding it, but as you say, you are not going to mod it. Also since the 26 is a 4wd motor you have to do some extra work to convert it to 2wd. But its your $$$$, waste it any way you like.
  7. If it was lsd Out of gear: I hold one wheel, and the other will not turn freely (unless the clutches have worn out completely). I think thats how it goes. If it was lsd, and you jack the back up and turn the tailshaft, both wheels will move in the same direction. If only one wheel moves, its not LSD. Sometimes neither??? are you on LSD????
  8. Ah What the heck, I replied with this: Hi Shonnon I read the provious email, it didnt say that the car was in France. Can you verify this? Maybe a photo infront of the Eiffel or the Louvre. The Ebay Ad said it was in country Queensland. Maybe a photo infront of the Big Pineapple whould have been in order. What sort of engine does the car have/ Is it a rwin turbo? I alwasy wanted a tin turbo. Your in the Military are you? Is that the French Mitltary or German. What Rank are you? Maybe you requisition a C-130 and Parachute it out the back as you Fly past my house. That would be an awsome sight to see. Maybe you could be in the car at the time and when you land I could pay you $8800 Aussie peso's on the spot. Craig. P.S. Spelling mistakes were intentional, to reflect his poor spelling, and to see if i could catch him out. His reply reminded me of the English Spy in tv show "Allo Allo" if any one remembers that.
  9. My latest response was: No man, the shipping is required, the car is in France with me... you should read again the provious mail. Regards. I was going to reply, maybe ask for a picture of it infront of the Eiffel tower, or the Louvre. But I dont think i can be bothered wasting my time with this Jerk.
  10. It's kinda weird that We have a Peter Brock in Australia that has been involved in motor racing for about the same length of time (early 70's to present day), but he drove Holdens.
  11. Yeah and there was a $10 000 Skyline GTX C10 4 door in the same mag i believe
  12. I got the same reply Lachlan, to which I replied: Hi Shannan Shippinging wil not be required. I can pick the car up in person and pay Cash I'll just need your name and address in Queensland to collect the car. - Mr C P.S. Why is the car registered in South Australia?
  13. Are you doubting the skill of Nissan workmanship? Maybe if it was an American, or Australian hand formed car. May aswell update everyone on my progress too. Last weekend I fixed the rear brakes, weekend before I replaced the front calipers. It should stop now. This weekend I'll get it out on the road and see how she goes.
  14. It's a pity there are no easy ways to report this ti ebay. They should have a link to report sus items, and not make you jump through hoops like the current system, if you are lucky enough to actually find the page to report them.
  15. Sorry Gav, I've seen a 240z here in perth with those stripes. I hear it belongs to an old guy that has had it from new. He carries a big stick beat off all the people that keep asking to buy it off him . He's not at all interested in selling it......or so i hear. It an orange one.
  16. Was probably listed as a joke. I doubt that the car has even been to queensland. Some kid probably just got the photos from the net, and put them up. I sent the seller a question, but got no reply. I also asked a seller who had sold some lego to the "person" where they were located: "hattonville qld"
  17. I'm stuck doing the same thing. Havent tried belting them with a Large hammer yet though (was late at night, didnt want to disturb the neighbours). Whats the spindle puller look like? Would I be able top make one up, or where would i find one in australia?
  18. Yes. It seems a bit odd the someone who buys lego and toy cars has a $60,000 sports car for sale for $8800. Maybe his ebay account has be hijacked. It all seems very sus.
  19. That wasnt the first use of that Line. I remember it from Blazing Saddles. http://www.darryl.com/badges/mov.php?mov=blazing.mov Vidiot Went under a few different names UHF it was called in america. It was Badgers in that movie: http://www.darryl.com/badges/mov.php?mov=uhf.mov The line was first used in a movie in 1948 - The Treasure of the Sierra Madre: http://www.darryl.com/badges/mov.php?mov=sierramadre.mov and changed over time to become the shorter version. even The Monkees used it http://www.darryl.com/badges/mov.php?mov=monkees.mov Souce of information: http://www.darryl.com/badges/ It's amazing the pointless crap you can look up on the net! :pirate:
  20. Read the chicken coop thread. Maybe he will swap with you.
  21. ^^^^ Ditto What zeiss150. No use balancing the crank if the every thing that hangs off it is out of balance too. All your conrods and pistons have to weight the same. But maybe you mean the whole engine, when you say crank?
