  1. Manage attachments opens a pop up window. I'm thinking that maybe your browser has a pop-up blocker on it, and maybe an ad-blocker to, and that might be why the images are not showing in the threads. Most of them have an allow pop-ups from site etc. you just have to add this website to the allowed list - if thats your problem. If you are using IE, try using Firefox.
  2. Anybody know if rust repair sections are available for the 240K (C110 Skyline) in Japan? I don't think I'd find any in Aus. I have rust in the rear sills before the wheel, and i think it would be difficult to make up a patch with the correct contour , where the "waveline" (I've heard it called that so seems as gooder term as any) splits in 2. The lower part of the line goes right into the rusted section. I think ie would be easier to buy a section if it were available, rather than to try and make one up.

  4. If you dont take preventative action, spare parts disease (S.P.D) can get progressively worse. First it starts out as a set of hubcaps you don need - you don't have the steel wheels they fit on in the first place, since your Z has mags. Then it progresses to other bits you dont need, and if not treated at that stage, it degenerates into P.C.D. (parts car disease) and you find you have an un-restorable rusted out car taking up space at your house. The sufferer of PCD is happy in their delusion that they have a whole car full of spare parts, and in their mind they will often think the car is not to far gone to be fixed. They will use the parts car as a storage place for yet more spare parts obtained from ebay, internet forums, and local classifieds. At this stage the sufferer can become interested in other models of car, by the same manufacturer, and may buy a different type of car, say a 280zx, 300zx, or datsun 510, etc. The car will always need work, and the cycle of spare parts collecting will begin again for the new car, at which point the victim is beyond all hope. Quick before its too late, send all your spare parts to me :classic:
  5. $500? that must be parts and labour ($100 parts $400 labour) If you feel like doing the labour yourself: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170079858690
  6. Well reading the advert all the way through, it become clear that the starting price is how much all the new parts that are included in the auction cost her. So the auction is actually for $1800 worth of parts, and you get a free rust bucket to carry them all home in
  7. If you got molds made of the front end of the standard windscreen version and made reproductions, I think they would sell. I dont think people would want to go to all the trouble of the custom windscreen version, but a prima-z nose/hood you could bolt onto a S30 without too much trouble, there might be a market for it.
  8. Sounds like you need to balance them. Try reading this: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11755 or this http://www.teglerizer.com/sucarbs/techtip6.htm
  9. Thats really coming together. I might have to do something about getting mine finished.
  10. You should be able to use the strut from the 2+2 on the 240z. I'd swap the springs from the 240 onto the 260 strut. They should fit. Springs should be the same diameter, so the spring perch should be the same, from what I can remember. The only difference I know of it that the 260Z use a bigger diameter tube.
  11. Heres another one. This is north of Melbourne. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330085777077
  12. Hey I'm not George Lucas - I didn't write that crappy line! and it was 12 parsecs, guess he was only doing .5 past light speed.
  13. Didnt he make the kessel run in less than 5 parsecs?
  14. Do you mean HLS30? because that's an entirely different thing to HS30 and S30. There arent many S30's in the USA - only ones that were privately imported from Japan.
  15. Because its a different chassis, and thats what Nissan do.
  16. It that megajolt thing like the megasquirt, bit just does spark timing?
  17. Yeah and Silvia becomes Sil Beer !
  18. The lower mounting points changed, the side mounts on the chassis were "L" shaped bits of metal spot welded to the chassis. On the earlier 240z they are like an upside down "L" on the later version (whenever the change was) they changed them to point up. You can use the grill mounting brackets off the original grill buy drilling out the rivets and swapping them over to the later grill. I fixed one of my broken 240z grills with some parts from a 260Z and used the 240Z brackets on the 260z vertical bars.
  19. Even with the holes its still an ugly doodad.
  20. I've read that the Z33 was produced in 2002 and the G35 coupe not untill 2003.
  21. As far as I know the G35 skyline coupe (or whatever its called in the US) was released after the 350Z, so I don't know how you can say it was "born from" or "derived from" the G35. From what I understand the 350Z chassis wasn't based on any other chassis they had, but was a new design for the 350Z, which was then later restyled so that it could also be released as the G35 coupe. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  22. Really? Which Q45 coupe would that be? Got any photos?
