  1. ....but not much thought. Very strange looking indeed.
  2. If you find a R190 open diff, there was a R190 LSD center for sale on ebay Australia recently. Didn't sell. Seller might be open to offers.
  3. Here in Aus theres a Ford v's Holden rivalry. There's a touring car race series thats Ford Falcon v's the Holden Commodore. I think Holden went IRS first, so Ford had to go IRS too. Here's the ford: http://www.ford.com.au/servlet/ContentServer?cid=1137385397563&pagename=Page&c=DFYPage Looks like GM is going to export the Commodore Sedan to the USA (They previously sent the 2 door over as the GTO ) I hear they had on at the Detroit(?) motor show recently. http://www.holden.com.au/www-holden/action/modeloverview?modelid=4006
  4. The 140Z is a South African version of the B210 Sunny Excellent. This is about the only website dedicated to this car http://silverstone.fortunecity.com/austin/489/
  5. He's in the USA i think, so RB30 arent available, apart form the guy on hybridz that imported some of them to the USA. Also ford must have an IRS diff by now? What do all the irs V8 falcons use for a diff? I've read about somone that converted a live axle ford 9 inch into an irs unit and stuck it in a 240z.
  6. Yeah, I guess Lachlan is right. The grey does look like a satin black. Heres some photos taken by Alan T. of Nissans GT-R in one of there offices i believe. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&page=12&ppuser=2116&sortby=d&sorttime=9999&way=asc (Gallery seems to be a bit broken after the site upgrade, the large picture wont load)
  7. Make a 140Z replica out of the B210
  8. Part Number 24850-R5000 24850 is a speedo assembly for a C110. Cant find the R5000 part, the FSM i have only lists: R3012 - DX,GL R4612 - GT AT+ECI R4613 - GT MT And attached is the other fsm from 1975. Maybe its from a newer than '75 model?
  9. Yes the Flares are rivet on. Can be seen clearly in the Skyline GT-R book by Neko. As for colour, theres only a couple of colour photo of a red GT-R. They look black, but they dont look the same as the gloss black of the fender mirrors. Looks more like a satin black finish. Doesn't look Matt.
  10. My reply was deleted too. though there was nothing really inflamitory about it. I think its not really what you said, but the way you said it. People posts get deleted when you come on and say "hey, your car sucks", but not if you say, "I dont like the those cars, the design just doesn't do it for me" Also you original post came off as being about all 240K's not just this car that the thread is about, which is a pretty bad looking car with the missing chrome, and weird rear spoiler thing, and black isnt a good colour for K's. Also its off topic, so the moderators are within there rights to delete it, so they might delete this post too...
  11. Probably because 940 wasn't used on the 240Z. The other color charts are for all Datsun colors, so 940 was probably a Datsun color for a different model (like the 510 for example).
  12. Some of the old works rally cars as they are today at the Zama storage facility. Pics courtesy of Alan Thomas. more pictures in his gallery http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&page=9&ppuser=2116&sortby=d&sorttime=9999&way=asc
  13. Just found this pic and thought of this thread, so here it is.
  14. Another reason why we wanted the 240K section renamed or moved somewhere else on this page: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/index.php so its more like this page: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=101 so its less likely for people to confuse the two.
  15. He knows, If you read all of his post he is going to get the foam from Les, and was asking if the 240 foam could be used on a 280 seat base, because they only list the 240 seat foam.
  16. Looks like something out of starwars episode 1. The problem with "flying cars" is that with todays tech, they are basically just low flying air-craft, with all the inherent dangers associated with air-craft (such as falling out of the air when something goes wrong). Flying cars have a long way to go before i'd consider them a true flying car, (such as those in the movies blade runner, or the Fifth element, or even the land speeder from starwars (episode 4 - the first movie) ). But that kind of anti gravity hovering is something we don't have the knowledge or technology to build. Weren't we all supposed to be flying around with jet-packs by now?
  17. Nope, if it was a GRS30 you'd have a back seat.
  18. Never heard of a GS30. GRS30, and GS31, but never heard of a GS30 before. The G means its a 2+2 i believe.
  19. Yeah those cars aren't worth anything in Aus either. Though, we never officially got the turbo models.
  20. Then theres the 05L head that really confuses people!
  21. Maybe you mean the L20A crank in the L28 block? That also de-strokes it to just under 2.5 liters, and aparently was what Bob Sharp's 240 used to run in the GTU (Grand Touring Under 2.5 Litres), well thats what I read on Hybrid Z.
