Really bad idea, unless you like them thrashing an old Z till it dies. That's more there style. Just saw an episode last night where they thrashed a 70's Lamborghini, Ferrari and Maserati. They drove the Maserati, with obvious engine problems untill the engine exploded and littered the road way with bits of crank case and big end caps. The Ferrari died with electrical problems and the Lambo broke down numerous times.
  2. Looks like something a stormtrooper (star wars) would drive

I actually found a picture of an orange 4 door K while looking for those pics, and it looked awful. I agree orange looks good on a Z though.

Cracking bleeders, breaking cylinders. Sounds expensive

Don't like the dark red or the gray/silver, but it all comes down to personal choice, and what you think looks good. I'm partial to Dark Blue: and White:

I have a couple of single carbie intakes from 260/280C/Skyline L6 engines. No idea whether you could adapt a weber to them though.

Just saw this on YouTube. Its an advert for Shell motor oil. They built a clear plastic 370Z with a plastic engine so you could see the oil inside the engine. This explains how they built the car.
  9. Be sure to check the position of the distributor rotor before and after you refit the oil pump if your removing it.
  10. That is your oil pump. If its leaking you should put some new gaskets in it.

180B mirrors are similar, if not the same, so are Sunny and Stanza ones I think. I think you can get sunny or stanza mirrors in chrome instead of gray plastic. They come up on ebay every so often.

Don't waste your money building a storker. Not worth the effort and the $$$$$ when RB's are so cheap and plentiful..... unless you're really keen on keeping the L series. Even then building an L28 turbo, would be better bang for buck.
  14. I know you did. There were changes to the S30 chassis over the years. Very easy to spot the difference between a 240Z chassis and a 280Z chassis if you know what to look for. Outwardly they look almost identical, but they aren't.
  15. Not exactly.

Wow, try hitting the enter key a bit more often. Makes it easier to read. Where are the pictures? What intake manifold do you need? There was a wiring diagram for the K somewhere on here. What year is it? I have a service manual I could scan the wiring diagram out of if you cant find it.

Probably a difference in block height?

I painted my first 240Z Porsche Guards Red. Scan of a printed photo, so colour may not be entirely accurate. http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a64/mr_camouflage/misc/?action=view&current=240z-13.jpg

Comedians never make good politicians. How can you take anything they say seriously?

You could be right. I was just guessing Who's Al Franken?

Franken engine (like Frankenstein's monster) is just an engine assembled from parts that weren't necessarily supposed to be used together (at least not in any factory available engine). Well that's my guess as to what it means. Why would you build a 2.8 out of a diesel and petrol engine, when you could just start with a 2.8 petrol? Whats the advantage, if any? Bio-diesel Z anybody?
  22. Plus a couple of thousand pounds in transport from Japan to the UK, right?
  23. I believe your right GNose. I think he's talking about the little fender perches that sit on top of the upper chassis , designed to give the fender a bit of support. Here's a pic for the people that cant get their head around what he's talking about. Notice the 3 perches on top of the upper frame "air tube" above each wheel on either side. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=32889
  24. I expect the thief knew there was an RB26DETT in it and stole it just for the engine.

Nissans vision of what an S30 wagon would look like. It never made it off the drawing board.
