  1. I heard of the guy converting his 240z to electric, and now theres a biodiesel 240z getting around. Found this while doing some random 240z googling. http://www.csmonitor.com/2004/0629/p02s01-usgn.html
  2. Sellers name was arthursleigh He's not selling any at the moment, but if you seach for completed listings you can click the link to ask the seller a question and ask if he has any more. It looks like migh make them. Maybe i was getting confused with the 240k one, but worth asking the guy. And he's in Queensland.
  3. There was a guy selling them on ebay.com.au about a month ago.
  4. Hi Alfa Hubcaps are gone now. Ripped them off to check the air in the tyres, and left them off. Looks better without them. Been fixing the rust in the bottom of the doors. Which i'm just off to the garage to do some more of. Saw the pic of your car when you met up with Gav. I think you should contact a few car magazines and try to get a photoshoot/story about your car. Increase the awareness of the Skyline/240K with ignorant R33 drivers. There was a 240Z on the cover of Decembers Australian Classic Car magazine.
  5. I found the google maps z owners thing. Its at http://www.frappr.com/zowners If you put your chassis numbers in the comment, you'll be able to see where the cars are. And on a different note, You know how Cities have sister Cities in other countries, well what about sister Z cars. That is Z cars with the same chassis number. Many of you would know that the numbers for the right and left hand drive cars ran in parrellel. Eg: There would have been HLS30-01234 (for example) that would have been delivered to the USA or Canada, (or some other LHD markets wahtever they may have been). There would have also been HS30-01234 that would have been delivered to a RHD market like Australia, UK, etc. And the Trifecta goes to the whoever finds the JDM car S30-01234. now that would be difficult.
  6. Ah, the dreaded skim coat strikes again.
  7. Flipped through a copy of this book at the bookshop on the weekend. Noticed the drawing of the CSP311 Silvia, that looked nothing at all like the CSP311 Siliva. Why couldnt they use a photo of the Silvia, or even a drawing that actually looked like a Silvia. The drawing they used looked like a Fiat. Whether it was a concept drawing of the Silvia or not, it looked nothing like the finished car. Needless to say I wasnt inspired enough to buy the book. I wonder how many other inaccuracys are in the book.
  8. Alfadog has a spare 240K 2 Door that he will probably be selling once he gets the bits he needs off it. (gearbox, pedal box clutch etc... he's doing a manaul conversion to his GTR look alike). Definatley repairable. Here's the thread about it: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19121 Also there are 3 sedans for sale: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18726
  9. searched for "hitachi track" found these threads relevant to 8 tracks. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13266&highlight=hitachi+track http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9402&highlight=hitachi+track

    Computer etc.

Gotta have a pc in the garage. Listen to music, look up classizzcars when you cant figure something out. Fridge and the microwave are good too
  11. increase your screen resolution. I dont have a problem and i'm using firefox, except when the image is larger that the screen. I use firefox at work, as the network guys wont let us use windows boxes - too many problems with windows.
  12. I'm not going to fix my K up. I like i pretty much the way it is. Just fix the rust holes in the doors so Mr plod doesnt get sticker happy. I park it in a Uni car park all day, so I expect its going to get damaged by a p plate driver one of these days.
  13. When it stops being fun, take a break from it. Sell the Mini and the Landy. The Z is far more desirable. Enjoy the summer. Get back into it when you feel like it.
  14. Nope thats pretty much spot on where the vin should be stamped, maybe a tiny bit more to the right. No plate there just the numbers stamped into the metal. Behind the hoses and wires, above the clip that holds the brake booster vacuum line, above the horizontal ridge, like in the photo Alan posted. Just about on the same level with the screw hole that holds the windscreen water squirter thingy.
  15. [Edit: Deleted] was supposed to be a pm, clicked the wrong link.
  16. Yeah Tom i was talking about you, if you read the post properly. Just getting 1st dibs for you.
  17. try scraping all that black greasy stuff off.
  18. The C110 needs a good chrome/stainless trim for the rear, drivers side (rhs).
  19. But there are a few in the states.
