  1. Last LD28 crank i saw on ebay didnt sell, minimum bid of $290. zero bidders, was relisted and sold for $290. 4 engines for $500 is a bargain compared to this (single) LD28 thats on ebay for $950 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33615&item=7969682344&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW I know the LD28 crank is necessary for the 3.1 stroker, but what are the 4 intakes and maxima head good for?
  2. bandicoot, we dont got no stinking bandicoots? was it a possum?
  3. www.openoffice.org you'll want to get the latest stable build OpenOffice.org 1.1.4. free software to do just about anything that MS office can do, and its open source, and free, so instead of spending mony on Mr Gates you can spend it on Mr K. (ie stop spending money on your computer and spend it on your car instead)
  4. x is prononced z when used in certain words, but 240sx aint one of them. Any one of these sites would be better equiped to help you out: www.nissanclub.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=64 www.nissansilvia.com/forums/ www.nissansilvia.co.nz/phpBB2/index.php Unless its got 6 cylinders and says Datsun on the outside, we cant really help. Thanks for stopping by though. All the best, See ya.
  5. Yeah Cedric is to 240C as Fairlady Z is to 240Z (well near enough). Calling it a JDM cedric implies that it was sold in Japan and privatly imported to Australia, in which case it wouldn't have 240C badges, it would have cedric badges. i guess. So whose gonna show up at fast eddies on wednesday May 11?
  6. Hmm, see, i wrote matching numbers on all the plugs before i pulled them apart. that way i just match up the numbers when i put it back together. Some wires were for options, and if you didnt have the option, you still got the same loom, but with nothing to plug it into.
  7. Maybe its one of those nissan factory restored 240z jobs?
  8. Are you sure you put the right globe holder in the right hole? sounds like you may have put one of the gauge illumination bulbs in the high beam hole, if thats possible. Its been so long since if seen the interior of a z. It's all packed away in a box somewhere. one day it will be finished, one day....
  9. Thats not a JDM cedric, its an aussie 240C. Dont let the fender mirrors fool ya, even early aussie 240z's had fender mirrors. They wacked an extra mirror on the door too, just to coufuse the driver. And i think that econo diesel badge was lifted of a different car like a mazda econo van. Probaly put on there as a joke. My zed has a downward facing zorst tip too.
  10. Does it matter to you? Thats where you will find your answer. Who care what anyone else thinks. But if you think of it in terms of an investment, doesnt matter what color it is, you will always spend more restoring, than you can sell it for.....restoration, rego insurance etc etc etc.
  11. looks like someones been working overtime in photoshop.
  12. I think alfa was being sarcastic. (or it was a freudian slip )
  13. Forums Search is you best friend. So is MSA and Victoria British, (they will send you a catalogue for free). 4 speed to 5 speed swap is easy. Yes an L28 Turbo swap will fit too. Theres lots of informatiion in posts on here about it, just type a few keywords into the search.
  14. He probably thought he would get more for them, so he ended the auction so he wouldnt have to sell them to you for $10. Not much you can do about it. I dont think ebay has a policy that covers it.
  15. Cars larger than 2 liters get taxed higher in Japan or something, thats why most of them are up to 2 liters. The higher capacity engines are still available for those that can afford to pay more.
  16. I think that triangle thing is a plow!
  17. Umm, definately an L28? you can tell by the pictures? How exactly? since an L20 and an L28 look pretty much the same, the only diference being the bore and stroke of the engine. Same block, same head, same rocker cover, etc. or are there other obvious differences i dont know about? or have you got your x-ray specs on? cant see any badges to tell if its a 2000GT or a 2800GT. someone even says "L20T nice" and the guy posting the ad doesnt dispute it.
  18. It would most probably be a L20ET. Its got 300zx mags.
  19. Isn't there a difference in the lengths/width of L24 and L28 fan clutches? I think i remember reading somewere that people have a similar problem with engine swaps in 240z. Might be worth some research on here, as you may be able to use a l24 item on the l28 to get some extra clearance.
  20. This guy has said goodbye to internal combustion in all forms, and is building an electric 240z http://users.wpi.edu/~sethm/ He's already built an electric pick up truck, (or ute in aussie language)
  21. Hey Bill, sellin' one of your cars?
  22. with a big air box sucking cold air from the front of the car.
  23. Nobody else bid on them and let Ricklandia have them
  24. Just Curious. That guy had his "240Y" tail lights for sale on ebay again. This time starting at $10. He sold his "240Y " Steering wheel for $100, but cant manage to shif the lights, even after i explained that they were 240K not Y items, and he might have better luck if he listed them as such. So if anybody needs a set of spare 240K tail lights and a rear beaver panel go to ebay.com.au and search for 240Y. And now for my next question: Why is it called a beaver panel?
