    Exhaust gasket leak at the head. They tightened the nuts up which may have cured it temporarily, but the leak may have damaged the gasket. The hot exhaust gasses may have burnt it away some. I had the same problem on a Turbo Z31. Have the gasket replaced with a new one.

  6. It really depends on how badly damaged it is. If the chassis is damaged, you're in for a lot of $$$ to get it fixed.

    Owner was trying to sell it for 8 grand. Guess he ended up trading it in by the looks of it.
  10. There are heaps of people spending money on them on the Z31 forums that are around. The ability to get to 400HP on stock internals for the turbo Z31 make it a pretty cheap base to start with. But yes the S130 and Z31 seem to get lumped together in the same heavy/ugly/unsporty basket.

    Head has a type code, so does the intake, so does the block, and they don't need to be the same.

  16. I thought maybe you may have popped a rocker arm off the valve. Both heads will fit, though you will probably end up with a different compression ratio, and may need to notch the block for the larger valves. The P90 is the turbo head, and will give you a poor compression ratio. Use the head off the 75. It's probably an E88, N42 or N47.
  17. No hydraulic lifters on these cars. Could be that your valves clearances need adjusting.
  18. It it illegal to use a cell phone while driving in your part of the world? It is down here. You might end up parking you car in a lake, like the guy in the other thread.

  20. I do know the car was sold, and whoever bought it stripped it and was selling the body again on ebay. Try the internet archive (when its back up). It may have the photos.

    You'd better see a doctor before that CRS develops into CRAFT. Original application based on the part number (P01) was the 230 Cedric/Gloria, but since you didn't get that model in the US it must have also been used on a different model.

  24. Looks like you tried everything but "240Z". Maybe give that a go.
