Update on #237
Don't do it! Leave it alone! Put a very nice paint job on it, and enjoy it. The rivet job looks like a A/C hole cover for fume issues. I'd leave the rust(doesn't look structurally significant), and live with a survivor. Just clean up the exterior body rust, and enjoy! But, if your going to do a Kats resto($$) or better, go for it! I personally have great respect for "survivors". Unless your made of money, a ground up restoration on a Z won't pay off in this day and age. A prime example is the "factor"(Don't go there) restoration cars. Just my opinion. Beautiful car no matter what!

Side Stripes..before and after
Well: Sad story. That's about all that's left of a '73 parts car that I torched. It had been hit in the left front, so everything from the strut tower forward was trashed. But, I salvaged a good deal, and scrapped the rest. When I look back, it could have easily been fixed. But, there are still too many good cheap cars out there, which made it impractical to fix. I'm sure this will change as these cars are "torched".

Damaged radio in shipping
I've got one for you! Just got my NOS door panels from Japan(Yeah I'm the guy that bought them last week on Ebay) and everything look great! But, when I opened the boxes up, the passenger side DP was seperating at the seam below and behind the handle, where the two different grain vinyls are glue together and glue down into the depression in the lower part of the panel. Still dealing with Datsun Spirit on this one. Definitely a quality issue, but I hope it can be resolved. What do you want for $740? It's really a shame, these panels(except for the one area) are so nice! I almost hate to use some of these precious NOS parts. I'm trying to get more from the guys a Datsun Spirit! They have some really nice stuff. Check them out. www.datsunspirit.com

Right hand drive Fairlady on Ebay
Sorry guys, it's a pile. Saw it last spring when I was in the neighborhood doing deliveries for Home Depot. If it was LHD, it might bring $3000 tops! I hate what Ebay has done with the bidder ID situation. Come on, the car gets bid up to $8000 in the first day by a bunch of (shill) fairly new Ebayers!

Old school 70's/80's look?
Need some feedback. With the extra 240 in the garage, thinking about building the old school flared 70's Z look. MSA street flares(not the full round ones), no hole front air dam, and my set of 14x8 slots w/BFG 245/50/14's and 265/50/14's on the rear. To top that off, toss in my Turbo Tom L28. Hate to start carving until I get some approval from you guys. With two other very nice semi-stock 240's, I figure I might as well have some fun! Photos should be up any time.

Anyone doing a Kats restoration?
We'll just have to figure out the shipping. They're heavy! Two of the '72s came for my project car. Don't know if you're in to the date code thing. Some are. Unfortunately, someone stole the other two 3-72 wheels. Anyway, I pretty busy these days, but we might figure something out. Just took them over to Sears to have the old tires taken off and disposed of. Twenty bucks sound like too much? That should take care of the tire disposal charge.

Anyone doing a Kats restoration?
Cleaning out the attic. Just disposed of four +30 year old tires. Next step is the scrapyard. But, if anyone wants stock steel wheels, I have several very good ones. Date coded. (2) 3-72, (1) 8-72, (1) 7-73. Also have orig. Bridgestone RD-150s, date coded as well. (1) 4-72 and (1) 7-74. Tires have very minimal weather rot and are still mounted. Date codes are from the wheels. Just checking. If you want them, we can figure out shipping costs.

Dash for tires on ebay....
I feel lucky. Got my ten year old(when the guy bought it) NOS dash with a parts car purchase for $400 for everything. Oh yah, that included a complete rebuilt L28(f54) with a 5-speed and a complete Turbo Tom set-up with Exhaust and Nitrous. Maybe some day the "pumpkin" will be finished.

L-88 HOOD
Too Corvette! Put a custom stocker back on. 280 vented, or something on that order would look good. Cowl induction hoods are the extreme for me(not L88). But that's my opinion. Everyone has there own tastes. If you like it, 'ta hell with my opinion!
