Old school 5 slot Mags.
Ebay! Look under Ansen, or American Racing. Got mine for $57 shipped for set of four. I think MSA has them too.

Automatic Transmission
Yeah! I catch myself pushing the clutch in when I come to a stoplight. And then I panic, 'cause the car is leaping forward as I try to Rev-match the gears? I'm so confused!

Automatic Transmission
Drove my auto '73 down to dallas the other morning with out a hitch.70 to 75MPH, at between 3300/3600 RPM with 3.54 rear. Not the quickest car around, but runs good. Still getting about 20+ MPG. Have a couple of late 5-speeds in the garage waiting for the swap, but I just can't seem to get motivated. Hell, I already put the manual trans pedal combo, clutch master cylinder, and hydro lines in, so I'm half way there. Swapped out my '72(4 to5-speed) a month ago, so it's kinda nice having both and auto, and a stick with O/D. Building an old school(70's USA mod) project out of my orange auto '72, and think I'll leave the auto in it. Going with a 2900 stall converter, with a Turbo Tom L-28. Got some perfect 14x8 E/T slots with BFG 265/50/14's and 245/50/14's. Street flares from MSA should finish it off. Any thoughts? I have the cash in my pocket, but I have three in the Garage. These have been for sale for a while. No titles, I'm thinking.

mystery wheels
I believe those are Simmons wheels from Australia. Google there web site. I think they're still available. Guy's a Kiwi, so I'm sure they're Simmons. '72 Pumpkin roller '72 white 5speed/restomod '73 silver auto/daily driver

my 1971 240 z in silver
I love it! That's old school flared Americana. I know I'm supposed to like only stockers and only ZG flares, but I just can't help myself. Just looked at nearly the clone of you car in dark blue with the same flares. Think I'll go back and buy it.

Off topic for the A/C specialists here
This is so ironic. Yesterday, I dug out one of two cans I had of R-12 circa 1993- @ maybe $1.50. Borrowed a friends old R-12 gauges and a can tap. Hooked everything up to my one owner '83 Mazda B-2000. Minutes later the A/C is once again freezing cold! This system has never been opened, and this will be the third can of R-12 in eleven years. Guess I have a slow leak.

06 National Convention
Pretty weak turnout, wouldn't you say? I was there from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00, and I thought it was a joke! Guess I'll stick with the MSA show.

Come down to Texas Stadium On the 31st(ZCCA). I'm sure there'll be someone out in the parking lot with stuff to sell. I've got them on all of my Z's, and they're bulletproof! '72 White Stock 4-speed restored '72 Orange Turbo Tom auto Project '73 Silver auto daily driver

Gasoline Prices, and your Z
If it's so expensive, you'd think people would slow down. It works, Really! But then one can only take so many middle fingers. And, I don't see many people walking, or riding a bike. I'm actually doing both on occasion. So, Either way I still see the middle one. Lets see, three Z's, a '74 blazer(10mpg), and an '83 Madza B2000(orig owner/31mpg), which one do you think I drive? Oh, I forgot, International 9100(5.6mpg), ouch. I hurt like everyone else.

Go by the nearest Walmart, Kmart, J.C.Penneys, etc., and grab a couple of discarded mannequins(or mexicans), and stick them in the Caddy. That puts you back in the H.O.V. lane again. Just trying to help you out. DK

Wait a minute! You bought a Prius? O.K. So, lets say it cost $25K, Right. Alright, based on your mileage in the Escalade per year, At $4 dollars a gallon for gas, you could have driven the Caddy for five years for what you bought the Prius for. And, the battery replacement for the Prius is roughly $4K to $5K in five years. So, IMO you should be driving the Caddy. Besides, you can't tow your Zcar with your Prius! DK

Ron: Are you coming out for the ZCCA in Dallas? If so, bring the BRE, so I can buy it off of you for $100,000, and use it for my daily driver! http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=15084&cat=500&ppuser=6119 DK

Gas at $3.00 a gallon, I don't care! Changed jobs.Last year I drove 80 miles round trip, now it's 25 miles round trip. Plus, I doubled my income, from 40K+, to 80K+. That's America. Love it, or LEAVE!

Rebuild a wiper motor in an hour
O.K. One hour rebuild, and once a month RainX! By the way Dave, I'll need two sets of your headlight relay kits and two parking light kits too. I'll be sending the check soon.

11j x 14
What kind of tyre did you put on those? No one makes anything bigger than 225/60/14. I just picked up some 245/50/14 and 265/50/14s from Tire Rack. There are N/A, but they located a stash in LA(as in New Orleans). They'd look great on the Wats!
