I will be there but in the 350Z, I underestimated the amount of time I needed for the 240Z to be ready

Well the way I see it if they have the attitude you have of not dealing with the 1% they should remove the pricing from the website otherwise they should honor it, not call/email the customer after the order is sent in to tell you the price is double. I faxed mine since that was one of the options on their order form.

I tried to put an order in last December and did via fax, they got back to me via email just to tell me one item was out of stock and that the prices had gone up, almost double, the prices on the site were from 2004

Thanks for info, my main purpose would be to reduce weight of the components to result in a easier revving and higher revving engine, not so much for strength as I did for my boosted 350Z, the engine revs so easily compared to stock I am going that route as well as having the crank and complete engine balanced

also depends on what you want to do with the engine, since I am going to stay with the L24 I want a little more power out of it so an easy. although not cheap, way is to go with forged pistons and rods to lower the weight and free up the engine to rev faster, still in the research portion and it is not as easy as when I did with my 350Z for which there were tons of options.

Great pics thanks, wheels are one thing I will probably struggle with on this, now that you have them on do you think you could go a little more aggressive on the offset on the fronts? From the picture it looks like it could but tough to tell, the rears look perfect.

  12. Wow I have to say my first thoughts when I read the first post was come on, a rebuild is a rebuild is a rebuild, clean, replace seals and boots and that is it, but after reading and seeing the process gone through here I am impressed, I might just send my stockers to get this done and skip using the rebuilt ones I bought. Very nice.

I have the actual disks but nfastky.ini is in the "0 info" folder of disk 1 And I do have it working on my laptop which is Windows 7 Home Premium, it didn't like it during installation, it kicked an error that it needed a 64 bit application but I just clicked ok and started using it, I can use both the Efast and Fast programs. My original disks are from 2004, Disk 2 is for 1964-1989 and Disk 1 is for 1990-2003 and just recently got a disk that goes up to 2009 models

yeah oil catch cans are over rated, if you need one and have so much oil/blowby that you need a catch can you have some issues, I haven't even installed on in my 350Z with built engine and twin turbos, but it looks cool in the engine bay
  16. No help on Grant never heard of them, the engines I have done (only a couple) have been with the rings that came with the pistons I bought, but those rings seem way off specially if the bore is standard. I was talking to the machinist about my upcoming build on my L24 and he suggested this time to get rings from http://www.totalseal.com/ and go with a gapless second ring, I am just getting into the research part of this build so can't help much more but figured this might provide you with an option

  21. from all of the comments of issues with some of the aftermarket weather stripping and see the delivery delays plus the cost for the Vintage Rubber ones I decided to go and see what the dealer had. So I have ordered a bunch of stuff from the dealer including most of the weatherstripping and surprised at some of the low costs for some of the parts, but yes the front windshield and the rear glass weatherstripping is not cheap but I went ahead and got it to. My thought process is that I am going to end up spending a bunch of money on the restoration so I figured the expense of the weatherstripping was a small part that I went for it and also gave me peace of mind, this may not work for every one, specially if just looking for the weatherstripping.
