new shoes
Darn- there was a '79 B210 in the pick and pull 3 weeks ago. They had what appeared to be identical hubcaps. Anyone know if Datsun offered the same type hubcap that late in the '70's? Too bad it's gone now. :stupid: :stupid: Wayne

Beware what lurks below!
Yes, and now sourcing them (oem style) appears to be only from used. These were covered with rubber undercoating making the condition of the washers unapparant. Do yourself a favor and take a serious look at the ones on your car!

Removed tension rod bushing washer, sandblasted the rust off and found the part unserviceable. These were removed from the engine compartment side

Poll: Should we prevent gallery downloads?
Stephen, I couldn't agree more. Looking around the photo galleries for the past week for information on part location and tubing routing was pointless. Any picture that looked like it might show enough information could not be saved back to my hard drive to blow the picture up (without hassle) and check myself in the reassembly process. Found a picture, guess what, that user has not logged on for the last two years. Did they move on or just lose interest, it would be at best a shot in the dark to contact the person. But in turn, here is another twist. Only the gallery images are currently protected. The pictures uploaded into a thread are not. If we stay with protection, is protection going to be offered to them? Should we just start uploading images on our own websites and pathing them into threads? All information on this site is copywrite protected. Did I just violate Stephen's written word by 'copying' his text into my thread? It's endless..... (I see Carl beat me to that reference) And yes, I would be pissed  to see someone selling information that I provided at no cost to club members. Wayne

Body side trim
Cat- Do you need the leading edge or trailing edge? I have both (I think) from some doors I picked up. The trim pieces (rubber, plastic, whatever) are missing, but the metal is intact and of course, pitted. Wayne

TABCO replacement panels
interesting... glad you asked... the left one lighter appearance) appears to be 21 (guage is snug) and the right one (slightly darker) is 20 guage. The right side quarter (back at the fuel door) snugs up at 21 guage. go figure. The panels appear to be laser cut from flat sheet, then bent into shape. Very clean cuts!

Replacement Fenders?
As Ed stated, have you tried East Coast Z in Chesapeake? It's only a short drive away from you, cost may increase if he has to take them off. I estimate 40% of his cars on site are first gens... Call ahead for hours, not sure if he is open on the weekends. PM me for more specific directions and information. The chances of a Z showing up at U-wrench-it are pretty slim, although I have seen 4 or 5 total since they opened a while back. Wayne
