I'm really surprised you didn't cut notches out at the bottom base to accept a pallet dolly. I don't have one yet, seems Santa has put me on ignore for the last few decades.....

Cliff know what golf tee's are AND has put them to alternative uses? OMG.... There is a whole other side to this Cliff character...
  3. Are you asking for specific, pin by pin, wire by wire differences? Confused by the fact there are high resolution diagrams for your 1978, and some that have been colorized. Are you using a 1977 diagram to diagnose and troubleshoot your 1978? I would not suggest doing that. To me, that's like working on the Sears Tower Building and requesting blue prints for the World Trade Center Buildings as they were in construction within a year of each other.

This downloadable file is for model year 1978.
  5. I am aware of the AFM, oil pressure, fuel pump relay location being different, others can chime in and add to the list. There are 1978 color coded wiring diagrams out there now...
  6. Hi Steve, Not sure if you are aware, but there have been several revisions to the '77 wiring diagram since it was first posted in 2004. It is now at Revision M, and can only be downloaded on this site. Heck, even the download section still has Revision F, so make sure you read the comment posted there. Wayne
  7. Hi Jeff, I did a google search for "chambers cams" Alexandria VA as well. Google is only as good as the info you give it. Very limited results as well. Sorry. I also searched the Virginia State Corporation Commission for Chambers Cams but didn't find anything. Doesn't mean that Chambers Cams wasn't a d/b/a (doing business as) and the parent entity was under another name. As a side note, the font style of the card from Chambers Cams appears to be circa 1960-1970, so perhaps it was a mom & pop shop that were in business, but have since retired and closed the business, sorry for that news to you. Wayne
  8. You are going to need a wiring diagram. Lucky for you, one is waiting for you. But, before you download it from the download section, please read the comment to redirect you to the latest version, Revision "M". Several changes have been made since it was originally posted back in 2004 (Revision 'F'). You will only find the latest version here on this site.

  10. Can't help you with the info for a NJ shop, and unfortunately, the search for "plating" will bring up plate as well, making the search very tedious. You can search the site using google, by including "site:classiczcars.com^plating", without the " and replacing the ^ with a space. Also, if you have done your research, that's great, if not, here's some reading material for ya... @Patcon @grannyknot @26th-Z are a few members here that have re-plated parts. Apologies for leaving others out.

Cliff, Thank you for that. As it has been said somewhere, if you can read and write, thank a teacher. If it is in English, thank a Veteran. I missed out on any action during my tour, but if I had to do it all over again, I would in a heartbeat. Semper Fi!

I swear that looks like the red one they had displayed in the bed of a Titan this year at the ZCon host hotel. I just looked at my phone for pictures but couldn't find any. YO Boss, I NEED A RAISE.....
  13. Thank you Guy @Diseazd, I was told it was a 1973 but did not do any additional research to confirm that. @z3beemer, Do you still want the assembly knowing that you will need to modify it? I will gladly refund you money plus 10% due to may lack of knowledge of the part I was selling. I have your address and a postal money order will be on the way on Thursday unless I heaR otherwise. If you respond sooner than Thursday, then it will go that day. I just want to make sure that the part I am selling is the RIGHT part that will bolt in WITHOUT any modification on your part. Wayne

I sure am glad I wasn't taking a sip when I read your reply.... SPEEEEEEWWWWW I think if that is going to happen, we need to ask @Zup's better half to do some research on rooms,.... Zup and @S30Driver had some really NICE suites - Are you guys IN?. But, I'm sure I would be the one banished to the bathtub according to Bruce's observations... err, complaints. I'm on the fence on Branson, leaning in a nay way, but am ON for Nashville.

Surely you mean plastic wrap.... Turkish people are cheaper than @Captain Obvious to waste a perfectly good plastic barrel ..... Just kidding. I can't laugh too much as my roots trace back to Hungary. And it was great to meet you at ZCon. Next time, BEER!
  16. @zKars although the photograph isn't that clear, I didn't see any 'L' bracket. This was taken off HLS30-16303*
  17. @Diseazd Hi Guy, Can you compare the photographs I have taken below with a ruler at the top inboard edge of the clutch pedal, with the photograph and measurement being centered on the brake pedal itself? Note: The top right corner of the clutch pedal is at the 4 inch mark / 10cm respectively in the respective photographs. The actual measurement to the top left of the brake pedal appears to be 2 1/8" or 5.5cm. Off-topic, it was great to meet you at ZCon, although I think we've ran into each other at some local Z shows back in the day. Wayne

@Av8ferg that's some nice land your dad acquired... Glad to hear you made it back to NC safe. PM me when you get settled. Wayne
  19. Sorry, I was just wiping off the drool on my screen when this got posted... Congates @hiyabrad for being on top of things..... I'm always just a day late and a dollar short...

Learn something new everyday! Whereabouts in NC is the homestead? If it is anywhere near Raleigh, it's only a 4 hour drive from the beach. I have lots of parts and work for food. Well, food and beer.

Is the sign upside down so it reads right side up in "Cast Away"?

Dang, I need to hang out at the recycling place more often. But, the way my luck goes, all I find is an empty 6 pack of aluminum cans...

Well, to tell the whole truth, I traded mine to my engine builder for services rendered. Errr, better re-phrase that around THIS crowd.

I agree, if you are buying a NEW flywheel. I did buy a new flywheel from RockAuto (standard, off the shelf) and took it to the local machine shop where they shaved it down to around 15.5 lbs. Cost for work 3 years ago was around $150. Now if I way smart and saved a flywheel from one of the cars I parted out.... lessons learned.
  25. Say it isn't so.... I see what is on my 'to do list' for tomorrow. @Captain Obvious - trade you some HVAC parts for some brackets. No plating necessary. ? Oh, the good news, she wasn't the 'bucking bronco' on the drive back.... Smooth as silk. But, I did hear a troublesome 'clunk' on a right hand ramp. Will bring it to the DIY garage on Sunday to investigate.
