    the cage and body is done. a fellow from iceland has named the car the - Zilver Bullet. next is the reassembly and testing with 4 weeks left before the season starts.

    interesting proposition looks nice maybe ill buy some parts if you want to sell a few things . my car is half done already. we just applied 3 coats of RUST BULLET paint . my kirkey seat and safecraft system came in this week.

    in all there is 130 ft of cage . @ almost 2lbs per foot = approx 250lbs of tubing . the extra cross adds about 30 lbs but its added safety for the fuel cell. in case of a bump in the rear. oh well . there it is. we ll see how it performs in a few weeks. cheers!

    found this other car a few years ago by chance , frozen in somone's flooded backyard, the car was literally put on ice for a while. i paid for the car, but then had to wait for the spring thaw to retreive it out of the water . complete with original motor. serial number 00127 production 1969. im doing the whole car. basically everything, the bottom 6 inches front to rear was literally missing or rotted . i had another donor car for a few parts but fabricated most from scratch including subframes and crossmembers. the car was only worth saving cause of the serial number. i ve been working on it on and off for the last 8 months . the roster makes it so much easier before and after (so far) cheers!

    good info after looking at a few other designs ive made some changes to my roll cage. in passing , here is my rotissery, i built for 4000lbs , using engine stands.

    yes, i need to add another brace on each side, from the main hoop to the rear towers. as you can see in the photo, ive welded a plate there already . still have a dozen pieces to fit ill post more photos in a week when we ve made more progress. cheers!

    obviously the cage isnt finnished yet. its being built according to scca rules . the cage attaches to plates welded over the sub frames. cheers

    thanks for the welcome sorry it took so long, i got stuck in a time warp it seems. im still restoring the car here in the great white north. here is a photo of the 69 on my rotissery still being fixed. and also a photo of my race car being built for GT2 other photos can be seen at www.atlanticz.ca my handle there is also vin00127 cheers !
