They sold 35,000 Datsun 1600 Sports I'd say less than 50 Honda S600s were ever in country at any time. True, the datto would stomp them. The Honda S cars are beautifully constructed and the engine is pure art work. I would never be able to fit into one.

While wer'e on the subject, What color should it be. Most that I have seen have been black. But that's kind of counter-intuitive, as most other parts are zinc dichromate.

Agreed - input Shaft - Your description matches the death song of my FS5C71A roadster tranny. It may have needed just the input shaft bearings replaced, But I went for the complete rebuild - Just In Case!

It's a hard choice. I'd say you picked the right things for the list. All of them make this site valuable. Here's something to think about.. The Draw-through SU turbo set-up has been used in several different cars. There was a 2 lt Roadster in the 80's that was wicked fast using a single SU, in front of the turbo. The Constant velocity feature of the SU works well in this set up, but you got to play with the needle profile and dome spring rate to keep from running lean !YIKES!
