  1. Look!! A left hand drive 240K!!! There's hope yet! Arne, Your car is a beast!
  2. My argument for the complete ZT spa treatment? You spend $600. You get back reliable, dead-on carbs that are also beautifuly restored. Sounds like a bargain to me.
  3. GX was the group of high performance parts, developed by Nissan ZT is a carburetter rebuilder/restorer Mr. Purdue wisely had his GX's rebuilt by ZT
  4. Ya need some 13 X 8 Watanabe Type R's to complete that picture!
  5. Very well done Michael. Your tube bending abilities are such that your custom part looks like it was born there. Your having fun with your 140Y sunny, aren't you? they are really fun cars. If it weren't for California smog laws, I'd want one too, and would mimic your set up. Both Pam and Steve of Ztherapy are long-time A motor racers. Doesn't surprise me that they would be the top-notch choice for A motor carb set up.
  6. Please don't mistake those for the horrible Z car flat tops. You're looking at the GX SU set up for the "A" series motor. A very desired and sought after set of components. Notice the float bowls are much like the round top SU's. These are very good carbs.
  7. Even to the "informed". And there's no dishonor in that. A tough, reliable, inexpensive yet high quality car that supplied years of almost trouble free service, with a high quality driving experience. Doesn't that sum up the 120Y (74~77 B210) and for that matter Nissan cars in general?
  8. Yea, That's the one. Now you got two. I bought it as a gift for my buddy Steve. Like it or not, your going to take it
  9. I like them all. I think the S10 Silvia (200SX) took styling clues from the C110 IMHO the 710 wagon with that weird low body ridge would be the bottom of my list
  10. Yea I did. I'd like to see the traffic build up on that site. It'll be good to see ya Stephen. I picked up something for you at a bookstore (an 810 postcard). Now I got to find it again!
  11. I never miss these. I'll be there in my 521 pickup From http://dimequarterly.tierranet.com/calendar.html March 5th (Sunday) UFO SoCal UFO SoCal All-Datsun Swap Meet -- at Nissan Corporate headquarters. (18501 S. 12. Paper-wasp nest! Yes that would make driving fun! Their stings are incredible. Once, While driving on the tree covered South Miami street, Old Cutler Road, to Cocconut Grove, something large and squishy hit my windscreen. I had thought that a mango fell of a tree and hit me, but before I could make out what it was, my buddy started to flail around in his seat, yelling. The cabin was full of bees, I mean thick with bees. My "Mango" was a large chunk of bee hive that fell from an overhanging tree. I quickly pulled off on a side street, and we both jumped from the buzzing car. Somehow, I avoided stings. My freind was not as lucky, or should i say, 11 times not as lucky. I ended up getting stung once while shooing the unwanted bumblers from my chevy. I made out in that deal, as I looked at my freinds face. Bees go for the face you know. Eight of his 11 stings were around his nose and eyes and he puffed up like a prizefighter.
  13. More photos of this car and of Mr. Green accepting his award at - http://public.fotki.com/billdaddy/scca_photos/2005_solo_nationals/p9160119.html
  14. Nissan has offered an oil cooler for it's sports cars since the 1962 SP310 (maybe further back, but my knowledge ends there). Back in 68, if you ordered a SR Roadster, a smart salesman would also hand you the Datsun Competition Parts catalog (100% markup on parts, a real sweetener for the dealer). Heck all roadsters already have the mounting bosses in the frame (is it the same for the Z's?).
  15. When I was in high school, that pioneer was "THE" unit to have in your party wagon! I believe I heard the first broadcast of "Frampton Comes Alive" on that very unit, whilst skipping 4th period english lit.
  16. Bemmerguy, befor you ship the oscillator, could you take photos from all sides for me?
  17. Oh Well! I just got outbid on the oscillator by a wide margin. More than I'm willing to go. If the high bidder is on this forum, I'd like to tell him or her that if it does not work, I'd like to buy it from him or her, as I'd like to take it to an electronics specialist for duplication.
  18. My 78 510 (A10, Laurel, whatever you'd call it) would start with any key, screwdriver, nail file, pointy stick (same lockset as the Z's). Imagine my amusement when someone tried to steal her by hot wiring the switch wires
  19. 225/50/15 Falken Ziex 512 on 15 X 7 SSR MkII's The car heigth looks larger cause it was partialy on a lift.
  20. Mentok the Mind Taker says.......... TomCat has a thing for yellow. I know... My powers of deduction ARE amazing. No need for aplause.
  21. The point is... Why the hell not. It's a game, but it is Z related.
