  1. Purty! Funny, the air cleaner sticker hasn't changed, the 1966 roadster, twin SU housing has the very same sticker.
  2. These guys are giving you proper advice. For Responce (Drag) racing, the addage "There's no replacement for displacement" IS the absolute. Why else would they build the 500 ci monsters. They build for torque first and HP secondary. Get off the line and up to speed in the fastest possible. RB30+ block. Square stroke builds for high rev horses are specific to road course, where your'e gearing to keep it in a narrow powerband. even if you need a push to get out of the pits.
  3. That IS the Westbound 91 and Avalon Blvd about 50 yards from the Avalon exit. Good eye Scott. Vic's Favorite Soul Food restruant, M&M's, on Avalon, across from CSUDH
  4. I've got to agree with you Vicky, I've had nothing but good service. I've scratched my head when I hear complaints. I can only guess they caught them on a bad day.

Yes! Very warm day indeed! Did you see me with my mini camp (folding chair and umbrella)? I did what I could to keep from becoming a pop-tart in the Orange County sun!
  6. Neither the R1600 or the L1600 can come close to fitting under the 320 bonnet. I have seen 1 very chopped up 320 pickup with the firewall moved back to fit an R1600. but it wasn't pretty. Refitting with the "J" motor is fairly common. That's what you've got Steve? J1500? Some are going with the MGB Motor Blastpheme!
  7. I had that one on "Watch this Item" since yesterday. I WAS going to see if I could pick it up cheap. Not too enthused about the Auto transmission. Would have rather it had the dog-leg shorty 5 speed. The Interior is rather shot too.
  8. Steve, that's a pretty car. You'll miss it if you sell it! Can't you find someway to store it for you? Just think, when you come back from Taiwan, it would be waiting for you! Stay safe over there. Hopefully, your neigbor to the east will keep his cool.
  9. If you can't find them locally, They are on the web, Considerably cheaper. How does $1.55 USD each sound to you? wheelcomponents.com Scroll down to "Bulge Medium Mag with Washer". You'll note that these are the only nuts on this page that are .73 inch in diameter, which matches the spec on the Nissan lugs. Our roadster group buys these with the 7/16 pitch thread to fit the Nissan wheels on our roadsters. There has been a few reports from some of the roadster owners that the chrome plating is not all that good. But, WE HAVE to buy them from here as it is the ONLY place we have found with the Nissan spec lug nuts with the roadster pitch! A problem since ZX wheels fit the roadster perfectly! (14X6 w/+15 offset)
  10. No. Just talking about the thread in general. Yep! that's the kind of photo I was looking for. Good research method Lachlan! I couldn't find one. Now that I see it again, I think I gave it a bum wrap, it's better looking than I made it sound.
  11. As much as I'd like to bid, I'm put off by the sales pitch and attitude. Too bad for him. I believe it will limit the sale price. That rear panel looks kinda scary, like it may be rotten around the tail lights
  12. I looked all over for a photo of the Falcon steering wheel and came up blank. You didn't miss much, It is EXACTLY like a Nardi, EXACTLY like a Toms Racing, just the three swans in the horn button set it apart from the others
  13. Hand brake needs ajustment. It should not go that far.
  14. The steering wheel made and sold by Watanabe is the "Falcon".
  15. Ya Know... 1.8 Miatas are just fine by me. Even 1,6 Miatas, driven properly, are quite a handfull. I really don't see the need. Except for sheer shock value.
  16. No. it really shouldn't last long. What a beauty! Where were cars of this condition when I was shopping?!?
  17. Can't get a better paint match than that!
  18. There's no telling how the previous owner set it up. We don't even know which engine it has (L24, L26, L28). But I see triple 40mm (44?) Mikuni's and headers. Hopefully, the Previous Owner did the engine mods to support those HP parts. 160 ~ 210 ? wild arse guess.
  19. I too had no problem with the MSA 6into1 unit and did not need stepped washers. You do need the thick stock manifold washers for the bottom studs that are shared by the intake manifold. BUT! There is no telling if your manifold will be the same. Take your time and check twice if the exhaust flange and intake flange are the same height. If you do'nt bother, and slap it together, you can have a really ugly time getting things to seal. The Nissan fat manifold washers have enough material to grind away to make up for small diffrences.
  20. Andrew, Your photos are up. Looks to me like your doing a first class job. Well, Maybe except for the orange details on the engine, drivetrain and suspension Don't listen to me, it's a taste thing and it is your car! Good on ya and keep the photos coming.
  21. Here's the photo from that site for our color matching exercise
  22. no, the engine color is much darker than the air cleaner cover.
  23. need a better phot that shows the details of the top jet access cover and float cover. All I can see from that blurry photo is that they are PHH's. duh!
  24. Exactly. Your adding a separate circuit, for the main power to the headlights. No more big power through the dash harness and stalk switch. The existing circuitry will now only operate the relays, which is a very light load in comparison.
