  1. It was a Blast - Really! As in, there is no paint left on my air dam - Blast. The number of rock chips on the nose will keep me busy next week to get her ready for the Solvang show. My camera broke on the 2nd photo I took, so I'm glad you got a few Pete. Oh the water hazards!!! All ten(?) of them. I never thought my SR roadster was part duck. Fast way to find out if your missing a floor plug! Geez, I had some fun. Before this, I've had some rides to remember, This one was the best of them, three days long! I was just exhausted Saturday. Who'd thought I'd find my limit for "Just Too Much Sports Car Driving"?
  2. Alan, Photocopy your paper gaskets. I keep a file of mine and run them off when needed on med/light cardstock. then I cut them out and there ready to use!
  3. I think we're pretty well behaved. There are a few who get alarmed over a hot topic. I get reports from time to time about how "They" are "at it again", But this is a disscussion forum after all, and things can get hot from time to time. Sometimes, some of our best information comes out when the talk gets hot.
  4. They do that! MSA knows every pocket of my billfold too! Wellcome to the site. We do have an elec. guru or two.
  5. Does anyone know what happened to Kyle's (haglemen?) tech tip on using the GM module for the 78 style dizzys went to? It wasn't on this site. They're more plentyfull and cheaper than the Nissan module. I was thinking, it might even work in a pinch for the 79 "matchbook" dizzy as well.
  6. Luis, SportMax should buy that photo for an ad! Pretty!
  7. And just think, you could buy 3 sets of these for one set of Work 03's or 4 sets per set of new Watanabe 15 X 8 @ 0 "R"s or 5 sets if you wanted the Wats in Mg!
  8. Yea, the SportMax wheels are making a stir in the AE86 community. They are a single piece casting, I guess that's what is keeping the price down. They look good and have "old school" appeal. I had my worries that the front caps would fit over the tall datsun bearing caps. I guess Luis answered those questions in the best way possible - by proving it!
  9. That would be best. Surprisingly as it might seem, most of the posts I move were from site veterans, not newcomers. Most likely they were in a hurry to put something up and were not paying attention to which forum they were in.
  10. I don't know. Maybe one of the folks who's posts I have moved will tell us?
  11. Here's what today's email looked like - Please be carefull which forum you select, and Please remember that "Articles from our Members" is reserved for "How to" articles only.
  12. I saw a JDM (aftermarket I think) cover with the Large block lettered NISSAN. But this cover was plastic. Les Cannaday had it in his shop and was very excited over it. As to why he was so jazzed, I didn't catch the story.
  13. My Codriver for the 8th annual no frills iron bottom motoring tour had to bail on me cause of a busness trip. I'd like to have someone along. PM me if you'd like to apply 1st - you'll need to be able to be free for the 6th (Thursday), the 7th and 8th. And an option of the 5th for a drivers meeting/kickoff dinner and car show. 2nd - you've got to be able to withstand 3 days and close to 1,000? miles in a roadster with the full nismo hard stuff on back roads. PS, I don't plan to arrive at any stop point "late" if you get my drift. 3rd - Ive got 1 room booked in paso robles for the nights of the 6th and 7th, one of us gets the floor if there's only one bed. Here's the details - April 5th Wednesday night- "Banquet & Car Show" 4/5/06 Robins Restaurant 395 N. Rosemead, Pasadena 6PM April 6th - START POINT! 7:00am on Thursday April 6, 2006 at Arroyo Blvd. and Seco St. near the South end of the Rose Bowl in Pasadena Lunch point - Ollies Drive In Taft, CA - that 100 miles as the bird flies - I expect them to route it as 250 miles of back roads and fire trails End point - Paso Robles, CA - another 100 miles as the bird flies - I expect the same April 7th - Start point - Paso Robles Black Oak Motor Lodge Lunch point - Hollister Hills Vehicle Rec. 14. Alan, you told me that the earlier car was powered by an L/Z hybrid turbo motor, I have seen other references that have confirmed that. How about this one? the same, or did it have the FJ20DET? Lower and Wider... I'll say!

No, That's Edgar's Father-in-law. I was going to invite you to the Roadster Forum www.311s.org , but after seeing your photos, I realized that you're already there. As "Conner" right? No, that only when you make the mistake
  16. If I come, I'll be a spectator. Z is still in pieces. No camp vic
  17. Enkie 92's sweet! Just for my info, do the caps fit on the front set?
  18. You guys should hook up with the Central Coast Z Car Club "CCZCC" Steve is the president, I belive. They have a forum that's quite active http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/centralcoastzcarclub/ I've been on a few of their activities, cause I like to get around, and they're a good bunch o Z nuts.
  19. Correct? I would guess Alan has it right. All others, well, what's correct for them is good for them. I don't try to correct as long as they say it admiringly. Dot-sun is how I say it 75% of they time. Although I call 510's the Aussie "Datto" (fast rabbit?) it seems to fit. Knee-san - san as in "two babes in the sauna and a bottle of crystal" I grew up as a southern yankee in the big city Miami, where everone's an imigrant so inflection becomes less of an issue. Then to Los Angeles where that rule also applies.
  20. [quote=Zedrally]I say Niss-an whereas the English commentator pronounced it Knee-san. Niss-an makes thermoses Knee-san makes automobiles
  21. DeeDee, YOU ARE GOING TO F'N LOVE living in San Diego! The SD Z group rocks, the sun rocks, the weather f'n rocks hard. Smile while you pack to paradise.
  22. Loved the Volvo PV544! Who's Z? Shame to watch that Ferrari bite the trees. To hot and too quick on the turn in and push- right into the bushes! Ouch.
  23. I would like a transparency for the inside of the quarter windows
  24. It was a cold morning for me too, but not that cold. There was snow on the Verdugos, and that's pretty dam low for arround here as they top out at 1,500 ft. What's your elevation Stephen?
