My Dad's new toy with my Z
"I won't be driving it very much. He doesn't drive the Z much though either." Ben, That sounds fair to me! When he finnaly breaks down and wants one for himself, tell him you'll help him look. Meanwhile he can amuse himself with that common modern car that Honda made hundreds of thousands of copies

74 260z
DeeDee, If you put half the energy into this car that you did in the ZX, I have no doubt it will be a sweet ride soon! Take your time a run through the ignition system first and then the Carbs. Are you still having a warm winter in MN? I have a friend in Mankato, who told me she was BBQing, OUTSIDE in 68 Degree weather last month! How weird is that?

Hello! Jani from Finland
Nothing "Rare" at all about a 75 260Z, they were only "Rare" in the US. We were tighter over ZX's here two years ago. Thank goodness we dropped our biased opinion a bit. I like the S130's myself and consider them a classic Z car as much as the S30 models. I guess if Otso sent you here, You must be alright. Bill, Jani is a man's name (Most often) in Finland

Quality of various wheel brands
HA! Ahmed! You hit that on the head! That's why I would not buy them for my Roadster or Z! If you go to a show, 80% are on Panas. Nice wheels, but.... Dam... Pana overload!

Wheel comparison
Ok .59 inch X 25.4 = +15mm offset < That's should be quite tucked in and very safe on a 7'' rim. To convert equivelents take 6 mm for every 1/2 inch rim width. So, if you start with a 14 X 7 @15 Then the outside of 14 X 6.5 rim would be at the same relation to the fender lip @ +9

How do you like them apples?
Ezra, You asked for photos of your wheels on Silvia/240sx/180sx? Here's a good example. http://forums.club4ag.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=128778 How do you like THOSE apples? I'm temped myself. Hey arn't these deeper offset than yours?

Wheel comparison
Eric of ZcarParts lists the ZXT Snowflake at 0 offset, http://www.zparts.com/ads/wheels/ads/wfs-56.html But that cannot be correct. He lists the Back spacing at 101 mm Do the math - a 6'' rim is 7 inches across or 178mm Divide that in half to get the rim center 89mm Subtract 89mm from 101mm to find a +12 offset Whoa! 17.8 lbs apeice! Not on my Zcar! Wouldn't ya rather have some nice 10 lb Volk TE37's 15X7@0? A second morgage and your sure to clear those calipers.

Reproduction Flasher Decal on Dash--any interest?
I'll buy one, if not more. I tried my best to preserve the original sticker when I had my dash redone. It did not make it through the process unscathed.

Shut down "Moneyman"
Done! Thanks Bryan for the "Heads Up".

Wheel comparison
The ZXT "Snowflakes" are 15 X 6 @ +12

Hey Neighbor! If you decide on Chrome instead of Powder Coat, I have a shop recomendation! Can't wait to see the car. Mine is down too for an engine compartment makeover. I too am shooting for a MSA completion date. Were getting enough folks to form a Eagle Rock/Mt Wash. local chapter of the CZCC!

The homeboyz think my street is a public park. They leave me the broken beer bottles, used condoms and broken crack pipes to enhance the area's ambience. Gee, thanks guys....

Thanks Tom! I have a buggered up fender below the house - or two or three -sicko Datsun pack rat that I am. Got the sandbag and pedestal set up last night. The foil model is something I hadn't thought of. Good tip!

An urgent game ... what clutch is that?
Yar, 280ZX 2+2 245 mm surface as opposed to the 225 smaller one. If ya swap, you'll need to swap flywheels and t/o bearings

Battery tray ugly
A wise man named Gary said to me, "Be carefull with that axe, Eugene", but I didn't listen. Drilled clear through in two spots.
