  1. the Katy's Nest site is run by Kogi and Terry. I don't think it's a buisness, they are just nuts about cars and car shows. They own an orange 73 240, but Terry REALLY wants an RX3. Just another example of the really nice people you meet at car shows. The C10 2000GT was owned by Brian Dooley of San Diego. I don't think he's on this site.
  2. http://www.takumiproject.com These guys not only import used wheels, they take orders for new Wats as well. Hope you got $2K lying around
  3. Is the Lancia a reproduction or the actual historic chassis?

  5. Oops! If interested in participating, PM me with an Email address so you can get the route updates.
  6. A roadster buddy is in the final route selection for a fast tour. from Pasendena area, up to Acton, across to Frazier Park, further to Ojai, down to Santa Paula then back on the 126. Close to 300 miles. So far the only tenitive participants (3 cars) are Hardcore drivers, I don't expect this to be a "smell the flowers tour". more of a mini, datsun specific iron bottom. No records, awards, plaques or get-out-of-jail-cards. just a map and a planned lunch stop. I'm going. this is why I own sports cars. I'll even take a passenger, as long as he/she doesn't cry/puke and can navigate
  7. Remmber Bill, It does not need to be "Show Quality" If it runs good enough to make it from AK to CA, that's good enough
  8. Just found some shot of the Franklin Mint 1:24. I don't think the Interior is anywhere near the Kyosho's detail. True the 1:18 car is much bigger and it was easier to get the detials in. http://www.cellinifinegifts.com/fm_1970datsun.htm
  9. OHH I forgot the Franklin Mint! Yes, I hear they are VERY good!
  10. Vicky, I'll bet the 1:43 yellow is an EBBRO. They are pretty nice for being so small!
  11. I don't think you will find better than the Kyosho($50 ~ $70). I also have a SunStar ($25~$35) and a Yat-Ming ($20~$30). In detail quality I'd rank the Yat-Ming just over the SunStar, But both well below the Kyosho. 12. To those in the Southwest states, I went to a Big Lots discount store yesterday and was surprised to find a 1:18 dicast 1970 Z car model. The detail was mediocre, compared to the Kyosha I have here on my desk. All the series I details were there, except it had "Z" hubcaps as opposed to the correct "D" caps. All the models there, (4 of them) were dark Green with butterschoch interiors. I WAS going to buy all of them at $12.95 apeice, but abandon all my purchases and walked out empty-handed when I saw the checkout line bending around several corners and only one cashier on duty.
  13. Nice looking 2+2. I first thought you were in WA (Western Australia), turns out your in WA (Washington State)
  14. Dam! I just bought the box 4 months ago at full price. Oh well, This is not the kind of hobby where saving money has anything to do with it.
  15. You got that right. Beautifull country. Even better, are some of the smaller county roads in that area. Just keep an eye out for James Dean in his Spyder, as he haunts some of the best of those little roads.
  16. It's Always good to see you and the DatRod!
  17. Derek, You're getting good advice. If you want your car back quickly and cheaply, rebuilt L28 long blocks are most likey availible at a rebuilder near you. swap your carb/dizzy/exaust manifold from your blown L26 and your on the road again. The extra 200 cc don't hurt either!
  18. Any other CZCC members coming to this show, this Saturday? I forgot that I had registered! No way I can get the Z ready from daily driver mode to show mode so quickly, so, I roadstering again. -----------attached--------------- Dear Victor Laury, You are receiving this email to confirm you are registered for the 3rd Annual Mossy Performance Car Show taking place this Saturday, November 13th. Thank you for setting aside the time to be there and participating in what has always been a very fun and positive event. If you are unable to make it, please email me back ASAP and I will remove you from the list. Please print out this first page and bring it with you, it will speed up the registration process. This year the car show will be held off the dealership lot, in the Albertson's shopping center parking lot about a block away. The map can be found here: www.MossyPerformance.com/map.jpg. The show will begin at 10am, so please plan on being there at 9 am to setup and be placed. We will do our best to accommodate parking with your club. If you all get there together it will be much easier. Because of the overwhelming response, we will most likely have to park some cars in a lot nearby. This will have no affect on the judging of your vehicle, rather it will spread us out some. We will be raffling off a lot of prizes again, and all proceeds will be going to the El Camino High School Cheerleading Squad. We were there biggest sponsor last year and hope to continue that again this year. The girls will also be selling hamburgers, hotdogs, candy and drinks. Please help support them. We will begin judging around 11 am and hope to be finished by 2:30pm for the awards ceremony. We will hand out the trophies, take some pictures and head out to enjoy the rest of the day. Please pick up any trash in your area and take everything you brought home with you. I don't need any more chairs or coolers, trust me! ;-). The list of trophies, based on current registration is this: Best in Show Best Truck/SUV Best In Car Entertainment Best G35 Best Maxima Best Altima Best Sentra - Early (B13, B14) Best Sentra - Late (B15) Best Datsun - Other Best 350Z Best Z - Early (240,260,280) Best Z - Later (280ZX,300ZX) Best G20 Best 510 Best Roadster Best 240SX Best 200SX There is a $500 and a Lo-Jack prize for Best in Show, and a $200 prize for Best Truck this year. If there are any questions or comments, please email me back and I'll reply as quickly as possible. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you there. Greg V
