Those are the exact pads I bought, except I wanted black. I bought them in China town for $7.00
  5. Be sure to mention that the gears/parts/complete replacement for the original are not practicaly availible AND your replacing with as close to original equivalent as possible.
  6. Ben Beat me to it. I was serching the web for Gear manufacturers. We have a shop here in the states, Houseman Autosports , that specializes in one-off manufacture of gear sets and in Nissan Direct Drive gearboxes. While in my search I found the website for Holinger Engineering , in Victoria
  7. Eric, Does the alignment tool match the input shaft - I mean if one fits, the other should as well. When you rotate the trans, in order to match the splines of the input to the clutch plate, do you have the tranny in gear? Return the engine hoist and borrow mine if you need it. Thousand Oaks? Team SlideSquad garage?

good eye, Chloe! Now we know why it's a photo of a RHD dash. This guy lacks a digital camera.

Right on that point. If our HLS30's are a design consession, They did just fine. It's quite comfortable and ergonmic for a sports car. Driving a RHD car in North America, your too busy trying to see around the car ahead to note differences in the driver ergonomics! I have driven HLS's and SPL/SRL's for so long, having the handbrake on the left side would seem odd

All you need is a scoop of vanilia ice cream to go with your new root beer car! Very Nice!

I cannot undersatand why the U.S. Never got this car. If you look at the success of the WRX, just think, Nissan could have beat it to the punch. What we got was the Sentra-based, U.S. Market Pulsar NX 2000, Which was a FWD SR20DE powered
  22. What he is describing is how to identify the gear box by the ratio of the final drive. Put the transmission in fifth gear. Put a clutch plate on the input shaft. Mark the plate and note the mark's position, that position is known as 12 o clock. Rotate the output shaft 1 or 10 complete revolutions. Note the new position of the mark on the clutch plate and relate it to the original position like the hour hand of a clock. Ok. Now it's been a year since I did this and I can't remember whether you turn the input shaft and read the output shaft or visa-versa
  23. For the old-timer, Non-environmental-friendly method of the "draft tube" extractor, run a flexible line from the crankcase vent to a hard line that protudes 1'' below the frame. cut the hard line at a sharp angle open to the rear of the car. the angled cut will produce a negitive pressure on the line at speed. Of course, if your rings are bad, you'll get the added benifit of corrosion protection to the underside of the bodyLOL Just like on dad's Rambler!

He's Not alone. A 510 will join my Z and my Roadster, as soon as I find THE one. A 1200 sunny fastback coupe is in the cards as well.
